Hopefully Happily Ever After

Chapter 2

I grabbed his hand and took him to some place more secluded to talk. "I'm Kaitlyn, it's nice to meet you. " I said holding my hand out he kissed the back of my hand then he leaned in and sniffed my neck,  it brought goose flesh to my whole body.   

"I'm Isaac, and it looks as though I have  found my mate, you smell like vanilla and cherries." He purred into my ear. 

"Are....are .... you...?" I couldn't get the words out.

"Am I what? A wolf?  Sort of, my father was an alpha wolf, my mother was a fairy, so it took me longer to smell you, but once I caught your scent,  I knew you were mine."

"A....a..." I gave up trying to talk and crashed my lips against his.   It was the first time I had ever kissed a boy, surely he had more experience than me.   We parted breathless and I pressed my forehead against his.  " My father is throwing a party for me tomorrow to sell me off to the highest bidder." I said, tears running down my cheeks.

"Do you trust me?" He asked. I nodded as I sobbed.  "Then you will be mine, just wait and see." He said pulling me into a warm embrace and kissing my hair.  We exchanged numbers, I tidied myself up and went to find Mildred who was right where I left her. 

"I couldn't find shoes I liked." I stated trying to make an excuse for why I was gone so long. 

"I probably have a pair you can wear." She said, still snapping her gum.

"Great, let's go home."

A while later....

I read the text message and couldn't help but smile.

~How are you my love?~ flashed across the screen.

~Just peachy, you know counting down the hours till I'm sold off like a piece of livestock.~

~About that....I have an idea.  I plan to break you out of there tomorrow night during the party.  There will be a distraction and during that time you will leave with me.~

~It will be heavily guarded, its useless, ill be sold off to someone as their play thing!~

~Do you trust me?~

~I don't know you, but I have an overwhelming feeling I can trust you explicitly. ~

~You are my mate,  the only playing you will be doing will be with me, I promise you that. ~

~Thank you.~

~For what?~

~Caring, its not something I'm used to.~

~I'll always care about you, once we mate, you will be stuck with me.~

Mating...that scared me to death.  I was so unaware of how things work even with my own species....

~I'll let you know when I'm on my way, when you hear a loud bang at the party run to the front stairs and wait for me, are we clear?~

I had butterflies in my stomach,  this was not something I was familiar with.

I looked at my sparse belongings, I did not own much.  I threw a few things in a bag and fastened it against my skin under the dress with a change of clothes.  The dress was far from practical for running for my life.  Under the dress I had on my skinny jeans, combat boots and a t- shirt.  I was ready when I got the word.
