My Bad Boy Husband

CHAPTER 1

Elena Jane is still shaking even after the meeting with the President of the Hugo Company ended three hours ago. It's time to go home now. She couldn't concentrate on doing anything right even if it was just clearing her desk.

Brakkkk!!

Her clumsy behavior pattern made a loud noise that made several employees who were preparing to go home peek into her room.

"It's okay. My hands were slippery earlier.” Elena immediately packed some training modules and reports onto the table in a hurry.

"What's wrong with you? Since leaving the President's room, your face is pale. Did the President say something to you?” Chloe Whitney frowned in surprise. Anyone knows that their President Director will not hesitate to fire employees who according to his assessment are no longer fit to work.

"It's not like that," Elena shook her head quickly. If she couldn't control herself, she might end up in a mental hospital before she even met her future husband. Elena looked at her best friend Chloe, with a pitiful face.

Chloe widened her eyes realizing the intent of Elena's gaze. She canceled her intention to go home then pulled her chair and sat down next to Elena.

"Is there something you want to tell me?"

Elena nodded nervously. "Actually, the President asked me to do something for him," she whispered in frustration.

"Did President Hugo ask you to be his wife?????" Chloe cried hysterically remembering that the highest minister had long been a widower.

"When did I say that? But you were right about asking to be a wife…”

"Gosh!" Chloe covered her mouth. Elena looked at him doubtfully. "President, he asked me to marry his son."

One second after Elena said that, Chloe was still silent, but the next second when she realized what Elena had said, the girl screamed.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????" Chloe's scream was so loud that it shook the nearly empty room. Elena had to cover her mouth first before people looked at her suspiciously.

Chloe leaned closer to Elena's seat. "You have to accept it, your life will be guaranteed and you won't be living alone anymore," she explained excitedly, reminding Elena back to her dead family. Chloe was right about that and she did think her life would change if she accepted the request.

"Then you accept it?"

Elena looked up at Chloe directly, unsure whether to tell her all or not. But Chloe was her best friend and the person she trusted the most. Slowly, she nodded.

Widening her eyes, Chloe chuckled in amazement. "I can't believe this," she shrieked, clutching her hair. “Elena Jane, you have just made the most brilliant decision of your life. I can't believe you can become the daughter-in-law of the tycoon Hugo's family. You know, all women want that position. Who will refuse? I just won't refuse."

In fact, instead of being happy, Elena sighed heavily.

"Yeah, but people will think I married just to take advantage of the Hugo Company's fortunes."

"Who cares! I know you don't."

Elena lowered her head. She also didn't know how she could agree. But the words of President Edward Hugo made her doubts disappear. Elena couldn't refuse his request when the man gave her a look that reminded Elena of her father. That's what made Elena decide to agree. She felt as if her father was asking her that.

“President Hugo gave you information about his son?” Chloe asked.

Elena nodded. "Only a few. All I know is his name is Keenan Hugo, he's two years older than me, his zodiac sign is Aquarius and his blood type is A."

"But there's one thing you're forgetting," interrupted Chloe mysteriously. Elena looked at her confused. Chloe approached and whispered, "President Hugo's son is known as a bad boy."

Elena shrieked in surprise.

"You didn't know?" Chloe said in a super confused tone as if everyone should know that. Elena shook her head. She only knew that the son of their President was a very difficult child to manage. "Everyone here knows that."

Realizing Elena was still dumbfounded, Chloe continued, “Besides that, there are also rumors that Keenan Hugo is a very smart man. He managed to get a master's degree at the age of 22 years. Our president expects him to be the leader of Hugo Company soon. But Keenan must get married first so that his position in the top seat of the company will not be shaken later.”

Chloe snapped her fingers, “Maybe that's the reason why he wants his son to get married quickly. President Hugo doesn't want to bother looking for women from among the rich if he has found his ideal type in his own office. That's you."

Everything was starting to make sense to Elena even though it still felt odd. "Is it true that Keenan is known as a bad boy?" Elena was still having doubts about that one.

Chloe nodded “but I think, you will be happy to accept it if you meet Keenan Hugo.” She drew his eyebrows. Elena looked at her cluelessly. "Just meet him. You'll know why he got the nickname bad boy,” Chloe whispered, making her even more confused.
