“We’re ready.”
Romeo was standing on the other side of my desk. He had a determined look on his face. I nodded, acknowledging his warrior spirit.
“How are Dulce and Ximena?”
“They are doing as good as they can be.”
Ingrid was seated on the sofa on the other side of the office. She was silently praying.
Romeo began to lay out the plan for the hundredth time. I listened, highly impressed by his tactical skill. I could see why he was so important to King John. They had grown up together, trained together, and now they ruled in their respective positions. It made me proud and honored to be mated to Romeo, although I still wasn’t sure what the Lycan thing was about. I would have to remember to ask Rosalee.
A quiet knock stopped Romeo in the middle of his explanation.
