Knowing the enemy

"Ada, this is Carrick, my husband," Grace said, introducing her husband. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Adams," Ada whispered nervously. It was her second day at work, as Grace's assistant. The day before, she did not see any members of the Adams, only Grace. "The pleasure is mine. Have we not seen it before?" Carrick asked, curious. Shaking his hand with Ada's "No sir... I recently arrived in Seattle," she responded, a little nervous. "Honey, the kids are coming over for dinner tonight," Grace said. "The three of them?" Carrick asked. It would be perfect. I will finally meet my enemies, and I will get my revenge. "The three of them, plus Ethan, and Kate." Ada frowned. "Who are Ethan and Kate?" she asked her "Ethan is my daughter's husband; they recently got married, and Kate is my son's fiancé... Kate and Ethan, they are siblings," Grace responded, as if she had read Ada's thoughts. So both her daughter and her son are happily married and surely very much in love. It's a shame that their love story will last very little. "Then I'll see you later," said Carrick, giving his wife a kiss. These bastards are happy; they have money and a perfect family. Enjoy it because your happiness is about to turn into ashes. "Ada, don't you mind helping Gretchen? What happens is that my children don't always all come to dinner; usually when it's not one perfect, it's the other who makes excuses, so I want everything to turn out perfectly, especially since my middle son came, about two years ago. I haven't seen him for weeks," said Grace, happy and bringing Ada out of her musings. "Don't worry, I will help your housekeeper in any way I can," she replied, feigning kindness. "Thank you. Now I have to go too. See you later" Damn stupid old woman. She headed to the kitchen, and saw Gretchen cleaning the kitchen. "Can I help you?" she asked. For now, I'm going to get Gretchen's trust, and thus learn a little more about the Adams. "It's not necessary... I'm finishing," the housekeeper responded a little sharply. "It doesn't cost me anything to help you; we also have to organize dinner for the lady, and if we help each other, we'll finish sooner," Ada murmured, smiling. "Okay," Gretchen replied. "I'll go wash the clothes, and you can tidy up the rooms. Maybe Mrs. Mia will stay the night." "Ok" Ada headed to Adam's master's bedroom. She was surprised by the huge room. She closed her eyes and sighed. She wanted to keep herself busy, so as not to think or question whether what she was going to do was right or wrong. XXX Point of view of Mark "Mr. Adams, it's nice to hear from you... How can I help you?" Caroline responded on the phone. "Hello. I want the same as always" "A wardrobe is essential. Do you have any special shades in mind?" "Yes, black or gray," he answered. "Don't you find those colors a little boring? I don't know, maybe blue or green." "No, gray," said Mark, with a hard tone of voice, "and for underwear and dresses, I want satin and silk." "OK sir. Have you thought about a budget?" "Fifty thousand dollars" "Perfect... Anything else?" "Nothing more". He wanted to reward Laila. He was enthusiastic about her. "Shoes? We have the latest Jimmy collection, in case you are interested." "Nothing more for now; I will send you the sizes by email." "Ok, I'll get to it later." "See you later, Mrs." "See you later, Mr. Adams" Mark, sigh. He looked at his watch; it was already going to be seven. I have to go, go home, change my clothes and go to my parents' house. I know Mia will go with Ethan, and Elliot will go with Kate. The only strange one is me, who doesn't arrive accompanied... He arrived home, drank a glass of Polly-Fume, and then went to his enormous dressing room, and dressed in a gray suit, white shirt and black tie. "I'm ready for you to take me to my parents' house, Taylor," he said, coming to the kitchen. "Good" They both headed to the elevator. And they went down to the first floor... XXX Mark saw his brothers' respective cars when his driver parked in front of his parents' house. I was late again, he thought. "Mr. Adams... How are you?" Gretchen said, excited, as she opened the door. "Good night, Gretchen," he answered, and he entered the house. "Son... I'm glad you're here," Grace said, approaching him. He kissed both of his mother's cheeks. "How about mother?" "Mother sounds very cold. Tell me, mom," Grace scolded. He smiled. "I think I'm the last one to arrive. I realized that Mia and Elliot had already arrived," Mark commented. "They just sat down on the couches, so you're not so late for dinner this time," Grace murmured. "Let's go to the living room" "Good evening, everyone," said Mark, addressing his father, brothers and brothers-in-law. "Good night, son." Carrick got up to greet his son. How have you been?" "Good and you?" "Great, now that all my children are here.". They shook hands as a greeting. Mark, greeted the others. "Isn't there anything to drink?" Elliot asked. "Right now, I'll tell my new assistant to serve us a prosecco, "said Grace, and she went to the kitchen. "Do you have a new assistant? Since when?" Mia asked. "Since yesterday... she is a charming young lady, you will know it" Carrick responded. "As long as you do your job well, everything will be fine... I didn't know that my mother needed someone else besides Gretchen" said Mark. "According to her, she needed someone to organize her agenda and help Gretchen here at home" "I see". They continued chatting until Grace interrupted, accompanied by Ada. "This is Ada Keish, my new assistant" said Grace. Mark looked up and was petrified when he saw a beautiful woman standing in front of him holding a tray with wine glasses. He looked at her from head to toe. She was dressed in a plum-colored dress, which showed off her curves and showed off her legs. "Good night"
