Melvin stared at Vin with so much fear in his eyes. He knew Vin came with Mike but he didn't know who he was or what his motive was. He had a feeling that if he gave him his gun, Vin was going to kill him.
He stared at Ella and noticed she was crying. He wished he was standing much closer to Vin but from where he was, if he tried anything funny, Vin was going to kill Ella.
Well, since he accepted this life, he knew that a day like this was going to come. He would never be able to forgive himself if something bad were to happen to Ella.
He slowly dropped his gun on the floor and kicked it toward Vin. Vin picked up Melvin's gun, pushed Ella to the opposite side, and still pointed his gun at her.
