~~~Ash's POV~~~
I woke up, still shaken up and jumpy. I look to my side to see Ross but he wasn't there. I get up and walk downstairs to the kitchen, thinking maybe he's getting breakfast, but he wasn't there. I sit down on the bench by the window. I see some guys carrying a body from the dungeon.....It's Daunte.
Ross and Flash walk out and towards the house. I get up and slowly start walking towards the door. Ross opens it and walks in. He stands in front of me to block me from seeing the body.
"You killed him." I said softly.
He sighed and said "I'm sorry he provoked me and I wasn't gonna let him get the chance to hurt you ever again."
I turned around and walked away. I didn't wanna talk to him at the moment, I'm just gonna go back to my bed and watch TV.
I lay in bed and Ross comes in. He comes to lay with me and cuddles me from behind. I turn around and immediately cuddle into his chest. It makes me feel safe. We stay like that and watch a couple movies until I fell back asleep.
Aaaaaash
Oh Aaaaaash
I keep hearing a familiar voice call my name. It's haunting.
ASH
I spin around to see Daunte. I stumble back and fall to the ground.
"Oh don't be like that! Lets have some fun!" He says
"No!" I yell as I try to scoot away from him. He starts getting closer and climbs on top of me pinning me down and I can't fight back.
"I'm dead and it's all your fault! Now I must punish you for being a bad girl!" He yells causing me to scream in fear.
~~~Ross's POV~~~
Ash started mumbling in her sleep. "Ash? What's wrong? Are you ok?" I whisper.
Suddenly she starts screaming."Ash?! What is it?!" I worry as I put my hands on her shoulders. She just screams more and pushes me away screaming "No! Please! Go away! Don't hurt me!"
"Ash it's ok it's me, it's Ross, I'm not gonna hurt you." I pull her into me as she crys and whisper in her ear. "Don't worry you're safe now, he can't hurt you anymore." She starts to calm down.
"You haven't eaten today, you need to eat. lets go get some food." I say and she just nods her head.
~~~Ash's POV~~~
Ross picks me up bridal style and I snuggle into his chest. He carries to the kitchen and gently places me on the bench. He starts pulling things out of the fridge and starts cooking. He made fried chicken, meatloaf, mash potatoes, and mac n cheese.
As we're eating Tara runs in and jumps onto my lap into my arms and hugs me.
"Looks like somebody missed me." I smile.
"More than you know!" She says happily as she hugs me tighter.
After we finish eating we go outside to play. We run around in the field of flowers.
I shift so Tara can play with my wolf. she loves to pet me and run her fingers through my fur. I lay down and she lays down with me with her head on me.
Suddenly I hear rustling in the bushes. I quickly get up and growl. I mind link Tara to go inside and get Flash.
Ross just looked at me and then he hears it too. A scruffy looking man comes out. It looks like Daunte tho, but that's impossible he's dead.
"Ross?" He whispers in pain.
Ross rushes towards him and grabs him by the throat. "How are you alive?! I killed you! We burned your body!" He growls.
"What are you talking about?" He questions confused and out of breath.
"He's telling the truth....But how?" I wonder.
"What's going on?" Daunte asks.
Ross lets him go and we go inside to talk. He explains that he's been in a dungeon captured by rogues but they just let him go for some reason. We explain that we saw what we thought was him and what all happened with him.
Apparently that wasn't the real Daunte but how did he look just like him?
