The door opened and Daniel and his lackeys entered one by one.
“Don’t engage them in a fight.”, I whispered into his ear and he shot me an incredulous look as if asking how the hell are we supposed to get out if I don’t fight? A glint passed through my eyes as a plan slowly formed in my head.
“What shoes do your men wear?”, I asked abruptly and Ethan shot me a concerned look, wondering if I had hit my head on my way here or something.
Seeing the seriousness in my eyes, he let out a sigh and replied amicably, trying his best to entertain me, “Normal shoes…..not branded or high quality ones. Given the work we do, we wear out shoes faster so we don’t spend much on it. Why?”
I gleamed at him, satisfied by his answer and yelped out in delight while simultaneously clapping my hands together
