The two days that had passed felt like two years. I couldn’t wait to leave for Miami, especially since I had never been there before. This would be big news to our family. Growing up in a middle-class family was hard enough for me with four siblings around, always crammed up in a small building. This was such an opportunity for me. I felt like I was moving light years ahead of my time.
