“Ava”, a voice was yelling out in desperation. I slowly opened my eyes and I saw someone’s blurry face right next to mine. I blinked rapidly and the vision slowly faded back in.
Mike was all red faced and anxious. Then it hit me. I had fainted right in the middle of a run and I had hit the ground quite hard. I winced in pain as I tried to get up and Mike immediately lend a hand, pulling me up to him. My head was still a bit dizzy and I put my hand to his chest in a bid to steady myself.
“Sorry”, I murmured coarsely, feeling my whole body devoid of energy.
