After brunch, Ivy and Bennett excused themselves to check on Shelly’s vegetable garden. Against the smell of fresh tomatoes, basil, and oregano and the lulling sound of the ocean, Ivy picked up the conversation where they had left off yesterday. Only now, she had another idea.
Bennett listened while he plucked ripe tomatoes and nestled them in a basket.
When Ivy finished explaining her thoughts, she paused, turned to him, and took his hands. “What do you think?” she asked, holding her breath. “Is it a crazy idea?”
