The ride was thrilling and terrifying at the same time as the rain stung my exposed skin like needles while the wind whipped past us violently. The road curved sharply in the darkness, and I held on to Kai as tightly as I could, feeling the hard muscles of his stomach flex under my hands every time he leaned the bike into a turn. The speed and the power of the motorcycle sent adrenaline rushing through me, mixing with the fear and the growing anger toward Derek.
