Chapter 4
Levi froze the moment he heard her sob. He pulled back immediately, his mouth still wet from her juices and the hunger in his eyes switching to concern in an instant. He moved up the bed and lay beside her, gathering Dalia into his arms without any hesitation.
“Hey… hey, it’s okay,” he said softly.“We don’t have to do anything at all. Just breathe, Dalia. I’ve got you right here.”
Dalia buried her face against his chest as tears still fell hot and fast down her cheeks. Her whole body shook with the sudden rush of emotion that had so suddenly overwhelmed her. “I’m sorry… I really thought I could do this… but it all came rushing back. Jake… my ex… everything we had. I feel so stupid right now.”
