Chapter 12: Legs and goblins

"Fair enough," Says Yonezu
"Enough talking, let's go to crush the quests!" Exclaim Ken
Everyone went to their respective quest locations, every team fighting different things. Yonezu quest even tho he was an assassin's quest, made him fight many small enemies, it was not an assassination quest rather than a fighting one. Inazuke and Soma's quest was to protect a high-value carriage from some tressure hoarders. Tamura and Inaba had an advantage since they needed to fight some Nagas, Tamura is as experienced in combat underwater as he is on land and Ken and Lisa had to fight some goblins which were strange since, the same as Yonezu, It didn't seem as a marksman and support quest at all, they expected some hunting mission, not a raid on a goblin base.
All of them were doing great, Yonezu was going through them with EZ since he has some area of effect abilities, Inazuke and Soma were taking the hits instead of the carriage while saying jokes at each other and laughing. Tamura was defeating enemies right and left while Inaba was looking at him with surprise. Only Ken and Lisa had a hard time, the goblins were stronger than them and since Ken has a small number of hitpoints, he tried to dodge every attack so Lisa heals were basically useless,
After hardly defeating one Ken said
"Even if I deal true damage, they still take huge amounts of hits, what is this?"
"It probably had to do something with their passive," Says Lisa while thinking
"PASSIVE?" Shouts Ken surprised
"Yes, why do you think they have green skin? Look I found them on my explorer handbook,"
Goblins
Aggressive mobs
"Stronger than humans, but dumber than other species, all they know is fighting, sleeping, and eating"
Race passive: Fair fighting
"Goblins take 80% less damage from attacks from any kinds of weapons,"
Ken hearing this he said
"Fair fighting? it doesn't seem fair to me,"
"That's what you get for not working on your hands at all, I can make harder spaghetti than your arms!"
"I might not have the strongest arms, but I do have some secrets weapons," He says this and puts his hands on his legs getting ready to do something
"Your legs? how are you going to use them?"
He smiles and then he shouts while running
"TO HOTFOOT IT OUT OF HERE, LISA!"
Lisa seeing him running away stars screaming as well
"YOU ARE NOT LEAVING ME HERE WILL YOU?"
"No, no, I am joking"
After they calm a bit, Lisa was still lightly punching Ken
"You scared me, I almost died"
"Sorry, sorry, But the funniest part is that I will really use my legs"
He says this and he gets out from their hiding spot
Lisa was looking at him confused
He jumps in front of the goblins and looks behind at Lisa
"Be ready to heal, I think this is going to hurt"
"What do you mean?" She says this but a goblin was already rushing to Ken
The goblin was running pretty fast but Ken was staying calm, but without no one expecting he throws his weapon at the goblin
"Catch!"
The goblin catches the sword with both of his hands, but he was not having a great time, since Ken's sword was super heavy. He was trying hard to lift it, but before he even realized Ken was in front of him. The goblin was way taller than Ken but still, Ken managed to jump to be right at the same height, and with a powerful kick right in the goblin face, he launches it like 5 meters away.
Lisa was astonished after what she saw. She quickly rushed to Ken to heal his leg
"What was that? from when you can do that?"
"I told you I trained my legs, tho this is the last time you will see this today, now they know our scheme," Ken said this while he was looking at the goblins that looked pissed of
While they were still speaking a goblin fired a very big arrow in their direction from a huge ballista
Ken was not looking at it because he was still talking to Lisa, but Lisa noticed it and screamed
"Careful!"
Right after she shouted Ken was already standing up in front of her and quickly used "Deflect". He deflected the huge arrow and hit presumably their Captain that was standing near the ballista. The goblins that were looking surprised then started to get angrier and started shouting some weird noises
"I thought they gonna get scared after that, what even is this quest?"
But then Lisa looks at him with an innocent face
"I might have selected the hardest quest for us"
"You did what?" says Ken looking at Lisa
But then the biggest of the goblins steps in front of Ken
"You are small, and I am hungry"
Ken that was panicking says
"And I am Ken, and I want to be your friend"
But then right after that, a notification pops in front of Ken. It was a party request
Ken thinks
"Wait, he can request to join the party, that's amazing!" But then the goblin roars at Ken with such power that almost moved him
"Ok maybe not," Thinks Ken again
He accepts the party request since he didn't have any other choice and from behind some bushes, Tamura jumps in and takes the big goblin with his ultimate. From another bush, Inaba starts shooting goblins with arrows
Lisa looks surprised at them but then she realizes
"Wait, this is a quest for two people, you can't just show up and start defeating them like that"
"Calm down, as long as you do the last hit, it will count for you. I told that to that i***t friend of yours too"
And right after that Tamura exists his ultimate holding the almost dead goblin and says
"Who are you making an i***t?"
"I was joking, now, Take that kill!"
Shouting that Ken stabs the goblin and indeed the quest progress went up, and with the help of his friends, Ken was able to complete this quest too.
