TAMING PRINCE CHARMING

ONE || THE BEGINNING

Ather ran into the room carrying her Seven year old daughter with all her might. she was bleeding but she didn't know where from, she had been cut so many times she didn't know which was loosing more blood.

She stood in front of wall, it seemed like an ordinary wall with plain patterns.

"open"

"voice recognition accepted, welcome Ather."

The inbuilt security activated by Ather's voice opened a door fixed into the wall, Ather walked in hastily and dropped her daughter.

"honey, mummy's gonna go out for a while, stay put darling".Ather held her daughter's face with her bloody shaky hands, she was scared but could not show her fear in front of her daughter.

"mum...my, I'm... scared", the little girl sobbed in between words, tears dropping from her eyes.

"Don't be scared baby, mummy is gonna be right back, I promise, now I want you to listen to me, do not open the door for anyone no matter what you hear, OK?." Ather held her daughter, her voice shaking now, she had to leave her but she could not bear to, she was her only daughter, her only child, but she had to, they were coming and she didn't want them to find her

"OK... mummy... Mom!!!, please don't leave me, Mom!!!.

The little girl watched as her mother stumbled out of the room with blood dripping from her body, she looked at the blood on her hands, and more tears flowed.

In a brightly lit room, Athena stood in front of a life sized mirror, pleased with what she was seeing she smiled, "I look good" she said as she placed her right hand on her hip and swayed her legs to the side.

Athena did a 360 rotation, swirling her wavy long brunette hair in the air,its length reaching down her waist, it had taken her months to put together the perfect long, shimmering black gown she was putting on, it was perfect for her, with the fittings in all the right places, it accentuated her perfectly molded curves, and highlighted her slim waist, it had a moderate deep neck cut which was not too showy but also showed her voluptuous figure, it's high slit gave her the sexy but yet elegant appearance she was hoping for, her make-up and accessories were simple, not drawing attention away from her herself.

"They really have it coming", Athena whispered to herself.

she made her way downstairs to a castle like ball room, the stairs were long and grand with tiny steps, making one take time while walking. Athena had just stepped on the first floor when she heard a sweet innocent voice that would make men want to protect but sent shivers down her spine.

"Look who showed up, guess you are really desperate after all"

recognizing the voice, Athena frowned and turned,

"wow, so I can't even come for a party without having flies follow me all around"

Taken by surprise, camela never thought Athena would clap back at her, she grabbed her hand and Athena felt a pricking pain on her arm

"who are you calling a fly", raising her other hand to slap her, camela cursed

" you stupid slut!!, I will show you who's a fly."

Athena caught her hand mid air and threw her down,she had felt someone piecing her on her arm, loosing her balance and dropping to the ground camela screamed

"Ahh, you little slut!!, I will get you for this. you think you can get The Prince's attention by dressing up like a slut, you will never be anything so just get lost, disappear and die like your mother."

Athena's eyes slit at the mention of her mother, it was her weak spot, her forbidden fruit. she got herself back and quickly turned away, leaving camela screaming curses at her back. It was going to be a good night and she wasn't going to allow anyone or emotion get in the way.

Grasps of air could be heard as Athena stepped into the room, she talked across the hall, eyeing several people, every step she took was both elegant and sexy.

"isn't that the oldest daughter of Lu clan..."

"yes, but isn't she also supposed to be a rumoured illegitimate daughter... "

"like you said it's just a rumor, but I also heard she was thrown out of the family house by her father after her mother disappeared"

"Then she must be an illegitimate daughter"

"but what is she doing here? "

Athena could hear all the whispers beside her, she quickly and quietly took a deep breath to calm herself down and control her emotions, she wasn't going to allow these nobody's get the better of her.

Even though she was drawing attention, she never liked to be the center of it, Athena made her way to the back of the hall, away from the crowd, the noise was getting too much for her and she really liked her quiet.

"mom look who showed up!"

camela with an angry face stormed to her mother almost screaming.

"camela hold yourself, you are drawing unnecessary attention to us."

At that camela turned, glaring at everyone she caught whispering.

"Mother I couldn't care less, that b****

is here"

"who are you talking about? "

"Athena off course, who else is as stupid as her"

"really, who does she think she is showing up here, this party is for the first class, high quality, rich, affluent and powerful people, she is just a common illegitimate daughter who we are feeding. where is she? "

Both mother and daughter turned looking for Athena, camela sighted her at the far end of the room and smiled

" I will get you for your insolence, mom, look she is over there". camela whispered to her mother.

"Don't worry darling, I will show her her place"

Florence made her way over to Athena, she smile at the guest already thinking of ways to get rid of Athena.

"Mrs.Lu, good to see you", Athena faked a smile at her.

"oh please, do not patronize me, what are you doing here?, we had a deal, we feed you, clothe you and give you shelter and you agree not to show up in public."

"well I changed my mind, I don't like being held up in doors all day being a slave to you all."

"And where did you get that dress?, who gave you the money for it?, so you have started sleeping around, I have always known you are a slut... "

Mrs. Lu scorned at her, looking like she was disgusted with what she saw. Athena looked around, already seeing people whispering to each other and probably gloating at her downfall, she was already tired of the scene.

"woman, what is with you and the questions, don't you get tired, I really don't have time for you" Athena tired walking away, but her hand was grabbed by mrs.Lu.

"And where do you think you are going to, I am not done with you yet."

Athena struggled to get her hand free, Mrs.Lu all of a sudden let go of her hand and she fell backward. Athena closed her eyes in fear and embarrassment ready for impact but it never came. She felt a pair of strong hands encircling her, she balanced herself and turned only to be stunned by what she saw.

Behind her stood a gorgeous man, a very gorgeous man. He was dressed in a custom made white Tuxedo, which made him look clean, sharp and fresh with his hair laid back in a stylist manner. The details on his suit was top notch, his cuff, buttons and suit napkin were gold, he wasn't wearing a tie but still looked like a prince in his attire. He had blue eyes that could get one lost in, boosting his overall appearance.

"Miss, you have to be careful, you could have gotten seriously injured just now".

Athena got back her composure after half a day of staring at the man and taking him in.
