Chapter 6

　　A door opened and a girl walked out of a stall.

　　“You have your girl running around cat?” she asked going to the sink and washing her hands.

　　“Why would you think that penguin?” Clara asked with a smirk. “You know I only have time for you” she purred.

　　“Don’t be such a slut. Keep your girlfriend in line” she said.

　　“What?!” she yelled. “Clara and I-“

　　“You’re back Danny! Shut up” she warned.

　　“Everyone thinks she’s your girlfriend because you’re so close” she said.

　　“You know better than to listen to gossip Steph” she said.

　　“Yeah. Hanging out with people like her isn’t your style” she said and she put a glove on her right hand.

　　“Excuse me? People like me?” Danny asked confused.

　　“You’re an embarrassment” Stephanie said turning to her disgust on her face.

　　“What?” Danny asked taking a step back shocked.

　　“That’s what we call people like you. You can’t control your powers and you’ve adopted the human lifestyle like it’s really yours. Embarrassments” she said again her blue eyes sparkling.

　　She looked to Clara for help, but she didn’t say anything.

　　“Keep her away from me” and the air around them becoming cooler and she left.

　　“What were you thinking?” Clara asked.

　　“I don’t know. I just blacked out all of a sudden” she replied turning the tap on and splashing her face.

　　“Yes I saw that, but Danny you have to control it. Not every supernatural you meet is going to be nice like me” she explained.

　　“Sure. Why was she so cold though?”

　　“Steph is always like that-“

　　“No” Danny cut her off. “I mean she felt so cold. Not her personality”.

　　“Oh!” Clara realized. “You’ve finally met the ice princess” she said with both hands together.

　　“She actually acts like one” Danny sniffed.

　　“Just leave her alone and you won’t have anything to worry about” Clara said. “Now let’s go” she said already walking out.

　　The day ended pretty quickly and Clara walked her home like usual.

　　“No training today?” Danny asked.

　　“No. I got something to take care of” she replied.

　　“Then, can I get your number?” Danny asked. “Between the time for school and training we never actually talk and hang out” she said her eyes avoiding Clara’s.

　　“Sure” Clara replied handing her a sheet of paper. “My address is also there so if you feel like visiting” Clara said with that cat grin of hers.

　　“Thanks. See you tomorrow bright and early?”

　　“Bright and early Clara replied” and she was walking away from Danny’s gate.

　　Her house was far and she had to get there before dark. It’s not like she was scared or something, she just felt off. It was just making her hair stand on end. She could feel eyes on her. No way was she going to lead them to her house. She took a detour through the woods and her hands glowed and her staff was with her.

　　She turned around standing in the middle of the clearing.

　　“I know you’re there. Come on out!”

　　The wind picked up which made the leaves rustle and the forest more ominous. ‘It’s a full moon tonight’ she thought.

　　That had her staff glowing and she watched as something made its way towards her. She glowed gold and the full forest was covered with her light.

　　When the light cleared she smiled.

　　“I have to say you’re pretty smart” a voice said.

　　Clara could hear her clearly and she could tell where it was coming from. A figure emerged from the trees and approached Clara slowly.

　　“No one would be able to stop my friends like that” and Clara could see the shadows moving in the trees, leaves and the ground.

　　Clara grinned. “If you think you can beat me because of the stupid moon, you’re highly mistaken”.
