I let out a deep breath as I stared at the crowd in front of the church. The people sneaking at the front door seemed like they were struggling to get themselves to peek inside. They seemed enchanted by the wedding taking place inside the church.
I quickly rolled my eyes because of irritation. From where I was sitting, I could see Basilio's serious eyes staring at my reaction. I could do nothing but raise my eyebrows at him, which made him chuckle.
"Aren't you coming out?" he asked, as I expected. "It looks like they're just waiting for you to go inside, Solanna. Aren't you planning to stop their wedding?"
"I'm not desperate to do such things, Basilio," I said before staring outside of the church. "I already gave him a chance like what he asked two months ago, but what did he do?"
I sighed heavily before I lifted my fingers to tap the closed window while watching their happy wedding from afar. The wedding that everyone has been waiting for. A successful wedding between the adopted successor of Montero and the heiress of Valderrama.
What a waste of time.
Is this the t*****e they wanted for me? Looking at their f*****g arrangement?
"But you love each other, Solanna. That's what the couple do."
I looked at him sarcastically, which made him burst into laughter. "I'm not a desperate one, and I don't love him romantically, Basilio." I rolled my eyes before I averted his gaze. "I'm not that stupid to fight for him. I already know that he loves someone else. Why would I settle for his unconditional love even though we won't be together for long either? He will always choose the best things that will benefit him instead of choosing the girl that would bring persecution upon him. We are not a couple. We are siblings, Basilio," I said before I stared at him darkly. "Where did you get those questions? Aren't you working with the Monteros?"
He sighed heavily. It's as if he's mocking me with his innocent eyes.
"I've been working with them for a long time, but you are the one I'm often with, Solanna. I already know your flaws and imperfections. I'm used to your attitude," he said before leaning back in his seat in the driver's seat. "I witnessed how you ruined yourself because of him," he added, which made me roll my eyes. "From being a kind and lovable person to the most horrible creature I've ever known"
"Shut your mouth, Basilio," I hissed, which elicited a chuckle from him. "You're not funny at all."
I remained silent for a few more minutes. While Basilio was busy poking his nose while waiting for my decision, I kept my eyes on the entrance of the church. I sighed heavily before I closed my eyes and decided to open the door with the determination lurking inside of me.
"Where are you going, Solanna?"
When I decided to get out of the car, I felt Basilio following me from behind. I quickly turned to him and gave him a wide smirk, which made him grin in the end.
"I'll take my brother with me," I said evilly as I walked away from him and into the church. I whispered to myself, "I will take the alpha back, and I will take what's mine," before I walked closer the place where they were.
The crowd I was watching before gradually split when they saw me walking between them. I saw the shock, excitement, annoyance, and other emotions that were plastered on their faces when they saw me wearing my red dress and elegantly walking inside the church to stop their wedding.
I know that they saw my determination, but no one wants to stop me from doing what I'm planning to do.
Who else would stop me from doing what I wanted to do? I am an heiress, and they were nothing but pieces of trash to me. I know that my family will disown me for doing this, but I will never regret my decision to do it in front of them.
Someone stopped me from behind, but I never looked at them because my eyes were focused on the wedding that was taking place in the aisle in front of God.
"Do you take Shaun Andrei Montero as your husband?" I heard the priest ask before I stepped into the middle of the carpeted floor of the church.
"Of course, she won't," I said.
The visitors turned in my direction with a shocked look on their faces. Instead of looking away at them, I remained in my posture in the middle until my eyes met his. I saw an amused grin on his lips while the girl beside him looked miserable while looking at me.
"What are you doing, Solanna?" my mom asked from afar.
I could do nothing but stare at her blankly. I feel like I don't know her anymore. All I want is to drag Shaun out of the church while pulling his tongue out of his mouth for hurting me, for not doing his promised words for me.
"I will take the groom with me," I said before walking towards them.
Shaun smirked at me while I remained silent. My serious eyes darted to his ugly face. He is stupid for not hindering this agreement. I feel like I was the one who was able to save him from the misery that he may have encountered because of marrying her.
"You were siblings, for heaven's sake!" My father's voice boomed throughout the church because of the shock and embarrassment we brought to them.
This will be the start of my family's misery, just because I fell stupidly in love with the Alpha.
Falling in love with him may be f*******n, but at this time, I don't care about the consequences I may face. I just don't care about the sins I may violate. As long as he's with me, everything will be worth it.
Having him as one of my possessions, I feel like I can get through everything. He was the possession I wanted for the rest of my life, and I would do everything just to be with him.
"I don't care," I whispered before I smirked at him. "I don't care if having him with me was against the law. I love him, and I will take him with me."
If having him was a mistake, then I'm willing to take a risk just to be with him... even if he's my older brother and he's the alpha of this clan.
