KABANATA 6

We are singing,laughing and there's someone writing and making art on board.Our classroom is very noisy when Mrs.Roses come in.

"Candy!Go in mathematics room now!",everyone was shocked because of that tone the noisy room became the quiet one.I am quite nervous because of that.

May nagawa ba kong mali.Bakit ako pinapapunta roon.Hindi nga ako nalalate sa Math class namin e.Infact ,I am the top notcher in that subject.

So I raised my hand and ask some questions, "Ako ma'am?Bakit po?Ano pong gagawin ko doon?"

Mrs Roses answered,"Bakit may iba pa bang Candy dito?You are going to represent our section in sci-damath competition."

Everyone's laughing because of that statement except me.Becaused I know to my self that I am a chess player but not a sci-damath player.Hindi ko alam laruin yon.

Sci-Damath is a two-player educational board game combining the board game "DieMath" (American word for checkers) and math. Every piece has a corresponding number and board has a mathematical symbols.

So I raised my hand again and speak up,"But ma'am I don't know how to play that game."

"Candy Sophia Garcia Sandoval, just go there and we know you can do it",she said.

Ewan ko ba kasi pagsinabi na ni Mrs.Roses yung pangalan ko kailangan ko ng sumunod.

Jayson patted me and said "Kaya mo yon ikaw pa ba?samahan ka nalang namin"

"Arat na",said Lea.

"Let's go" sabi ni Franny.

We stand up and preparing ourselves to go in mathematics room when Mrs. Roses utter "Where are you going?Magsisimula na yung third class niyo diba?Si Candy nalang mag-isa ang pumunta."

So I tell my squad that it's okay.Even the truth is I am nervous.

I get my bag and walk toward mathematics room with Mrs. Roses.Nakatahimik lang ako.

Ma'am started talking in gentle voice "Candy, don't worry there's a tutorial."I only smiled.I feel relieved because of that.

When we are there ma'am told me that I can do this.

The facilitator greeted us good morning.

He tell us the following guidelines in playing damath:

1.The in-game toss coin decides the player that makes the first move.

2.A player is not allowed to make a pass, and two players take turns in moving a piece. 3.The game's duration can either be endless or timed, but each player has 60 seconds to execute a move.

He taught us how to play the game.He inform us that the competition will be on January 29 , Wednesday at exactly 1:00 pm here at mathematics room.

After he told that,he said that we can go back in our respective rooms.
