14 THE EYE OF THE STORM Irving and Hornsdoodle continued their training match after Smith was dispatched. Neither knew what Phelonius’ plan entailed. Irving was doing what Phelonius instructed him to do and trusted in the knowledge that Phelonius needed him intact.
