{ELLA}
IT'S Liam! I was about to approach him. He's leaving the venue. But I stopped in my tracks when I saw him carrying a little girl. Who could that little girl be? I just saw her now, but her resemblance to Liam is so striking. And to make matters worse, I saw his ex-wife beside him.
Is that really Victoria? Oh my god! I can't believe my eyes. How could they be together now? Have I become too complacent and not seen this coming tonight? Bullshit! How could this be happening?
I felt like I couldn't breathe because of the anger and jealousy I'm feeling. I couldn't move from where I was standing, like I turned into a statue because of the stiffness and coldness throughout my body, until they left the venue and disappeared from my sight. I couldn't move from where I was standing, frozen in place. I couldn't do anything but watch and let them leave before my eyes.
That witch! And she even came back here to take Liam away from me again. If I had known this would happen, I would have just run my car over her like I did to her mother. Maybe she'd even be pleased and grateful to me because finally, she'll be with her mother in the afterlife.
After calming down from the anger I felt, I finally left the venue to follow Liam, but I couldn't find them. I can't stop thinking about who the little girl with them might be. Don't tell me that's Liam's child with Victoria?! That woman is really something. Cunning, I must say. She'll use their child just to get Liam back.
I quickly got into my Mercedes-Benz. I drove fast, gripping the steering wheel tightly. Soon, I couldn't stop the flow of my tears due to extreme irritation. I could hardly see the road clearly because my tears were clouding my vision.
I did everything for him. What does Victoria have that I don't? I am the woman who has everything, so I can't understand why Liam can't choose and love me. I've always been there for him. We've been together since we were kids. We both know each other very well. Or maybe I'm the only one who truly knows him. Yes, maybe all this time, he's only seen me as an acquaintance. Nothing more.
How can life be so unfair to me? If only I could buy his love with everything I have.
My car stopped in front of a beer house. As I entered, I went straight to the counter to order the strongest drink they have. The kind that can make me forget everything I saw earlier.
I'm being stared at by the men here. So what? Do they want to hit on me? Dream on!
I ignored their lecherous looks on me. I almost forgot that I was wearing a daring gown that showed my full cleavage and exposed my long legs through the high slits, starting inches from my waist.
I don't care if I get tipsy in a place like this. Everyone knows who I am, and no one would dare to touch the daughter of a powerful man named Louis Smith. Dad has always had security watching my every step. But unbeknownst to him, I buy them off so they won't tell Dad what I'm really doing in my life. But I let them watch and secure me all the time. It's for my safety anyway, so why would I refuse?
"Is your alcohol expired?" I glare at the bartender in front of me. I'm drunk, but I can still handle it.
I point at him. "I'm asking you! I said give me your strongest drink!" I shout at him.
Even though I'm feeling dizzy, I continue to stare at the drink in my hand. "Why aren't you affecting me?" I mumble. This alcohol is utterly useless. If I were the maker, I'd stop producing it.
"Ma'am, you're already drunk," the bartender remarks.
I glare at him. "Oh, so now you're answering. I'm not talking to you anyway. Are you alcohol?" I sarcastically remark to him. He's lucky he's cute, or else I might have poured this drink on him earlier.
Never mind. I need to leave this place. I take off my high heels. I walk out of the beer house barefoot. I head straight to my car and start driving back home. I'm feeling sleepy. I just want to sleep.
"WHAT the F—" I suddenly blurt out while I'm at the dining table. I'm having breakfast with Mom and Dad.
Nah, I'm not an only child. My two older sisters have already moved out from our house because they are already married with healthy kids. Meanwhile, I'm stuck here simply because Liam still hasn't married me.
They both look at me, their brows furrowed.
"Mind your tongue, Ella! You're at the dining table and you're in front of me and your Mom," Dad reprimands me in a serious tone. But I didn't care.
I saw Mom gently holding Dad's arm to calm him down. "Louis, don't start an argument. The day is just beginning," Mom softly says to Dad.
I immediately stood up. I kissed Mom on the cheek and waved to Dad before I walked out of the house.
"Bye Mom, Dad. It's important," I shout to them.
I didn't hear Dad's objection as I swiftly made my way out of our mansion and into the garage with our cars. I got into my car and drove off quickly.
Last night was the most embarrassing moment of my life. I forgot to pay the bartender for the numerous drinks I had. What will people say about me if that bartender spreads news about my stupidity from last night? That would make me look like a wasted, poor woman.
It's so irritating! Let him try to do that to me, and he'll know how I can hurt a man. And to top it off, he didn't even bother to chase after me to get the payment. No way, it's his treat because he finds me beautiful. I'm not going to accept that if it wasn't from Liam.
After parking my car in front of the beer house, I immediately walked inside. Even in the early morning, there were still a lot of people inside. Don't they have anything else to do besides drinking? And I hate the way they're looking at me. They probably think someone like me would entertain their advances. Definitely, they're not my type and will never be.
"You're not the bartender from last night," I said disappointedly to the bartender I found at the counter.
He scratched his neck. "Ma'am, Tiro is off today," he explained to me.
I raised an eyebrow. "I didn't ask for his name. Whatever," I said before I left the beer house. There's no point in staying there any longer. The place is so dirty. If I weren't heartbroken last night, I wouldn't have dared to set foot in there.
Never mind. I'll just visit him again tomorrow. I don't want to pay anyone else aside from him because others might find out what happened, and that's what I'm trying to avoid.
I drove away again. I didn't know where I was going. I didn't want to go back home because soon I'd get a lecture from Dad. At the same time, I feel sorry for my Mom because of my attitude. I don't even know how to change my ways. It's just how it is.
I wanted to go to Liam's house. Yeah, that's right! I must go see him and ask why he was with Victoria and who's that little girl he was holding that night.
I quickly reached Liam's house. I parked my car in front of his gate. When I got out of my car, I continuously rang the doorbell because it was taking him so long to come out. Wasn't he at home?
After a while, a small rectangular shape at the gate opened. It was enough for me to see half of the face of the person on the other side of the gate. It was Liam's housekeeper, Mrs. Siobel.
"It's you, Ma'am Ella. Sir Liam instructed me strictly not to let you into his mansion," the elderly woman said with regret.
I rolled my eyes. "And why is that?" I asked sharply.
"Because his wife and child are here, Ma'am Ella. Please don't disturb them. I'm really sorry, ma'am," she said to me and then closed the peephole again.
I let out a strong gust of air. My chest was heaving. I was so angry, I kicked Liam's gate hard, but in the end, I was the one who got hurt. It created a loud noise.
"f**k you, Victoria! I swear I won't have mercy on you when the two of us meet," I muttered with seething anger. Just wait for me, I'll get Liam back from you.
I angrily got into my car. I revved the engine several times before speeding away, just to let Liam know that I won't leave them in peace.
