**Elena’s POV** I kept flipping through the channels, my thumb pressing down and then releasing the button, pausing just long enough to see if anything would catch my interest. The action movie was all noise and fire, the music channel felt empty, and even the K-drama I used to wait for each week now looked flat and dull. My thumb hovered restlessly over the remote, but my mind wandered, slipping away from the TV's blue flicker and the living room's silence. It was all on him. For the second night in a row, he hadn't come home, and I kept replaying the same questions in my head, over and over — where was he, who was he with, and why the hell wasn't he here? The clock on the wall ticked louder with each passing second. When I finally looked up, the hands were already showing 9:30 p.m.
