Chapter 10

Karan's POV:

We are sitting in the car in silence. Non of us spoke a word. Everyone is shocked by my decision, damn even I'm shocked myself. How the hell did I get so much of courage to do it....ony God knows.

"Guys, I can see a small hotel coming up infront. I think we should spend the night and carry on in the morning. It's getting dark. We should not risk driving".

Shubam said seriously.

"Yeah sure, okay". I said and looked at her.

She kept quiet all the way. I know she has lots running in her head. I need to speak to her. There is something more important that I need to tell her and after hearing that I don't think she'll forgive me.

Shubam stopped the car and we got out. I went towards the dicky and took out her two suit cases. Shubam went in to the reception and asked for two room. Luckily we got them. It is a small roadside hotel but comfortable to spend one night.

One helper boy came and took us to our rooms. But we got them in two different floors. I told Shubam to go and I'll leave her in the room and come back.

The guy brought us to the room and we stepped in, I gave him a small tip and he smiled and went. I closed the door and saw she is taking out something from one of her bags.

I went close and stood behind her, she immediately turned and we bumped our heads.

"Ahaa... what are you trying to do?" She asked annoyingly rubbing her head.

"s**t! Sorry...." I said in pain.

My head is bandaged and yet not healed fully. I kept my hands on my head and sat on the bed resting my back.

"O God, your head... I'm so sorry".

She said worriedly and came close to me.

"Let me see..." She said keeping her hands on my forehead.

"It's OK I'm fine, you go change and come". I said calmly.

"Are you sure?" She asked worriedly.

"Yes, I'm fine, nothing to worry".

I said in confirming way.

She nooded and went into the washroom with her clothes.

I waited for her to come out.

I need to tell her about my life.

She has all the rights to know

everything about me. And most importantly about Pari!....

After some time she came out, I was sitting on the bed and finished speaking to Pari.

Dam her hair is open and wet, in a normal long skirt and short kurti how can someone look so beautiful. She looked at me and I awaited my eyes.

She went out to the balcony, it's a small one, she dried her towel and came back in. She sat opposite me on the bed taking her handbag, she took out some moisturizer and started applying it on her hands.

"Umm... Shubam has ordered for dinner, it should arrive in a few minutes. Do you want something extra to eat?"

I asked out of kindness.

"No, it's fine I'll have anything".

She said with a small smile.

"Okay!" I said taking a breath.

"Do you mind sharing the details of your survival now?"

She asked and looked at me with a annoyed face.

"Yeah, I need to tell you a lot of things! Phew...." I said and turned facing her slowly.

"First of all, sorry for this sudden marriage. I didn't ask you before taking such a big step of your life".

I said in guilt and shame.

"It's alright, I'm the one who's supposed to say sorry and thanks to you!" She said with a sad chuckle and looked down.

"Thank you for saving my life going into that devils hands and sorry that you needed to pay that much money when it had nothing to do with you".

She said again with teary eyes.

"Hey, that's nothing for what you faced because of me".

I said gulping in pain and guilt.

"You have already gone through something that can never be forgotten or forgiven. I just saved you from getting into the same thing for life long".

I said softly and looked into her eyes.

"Yeah, I know the reason you did all this....but may I tell you please don't blame yourself for anything that happened in the past. It is

NOT YOUR FAULT!"

She said with assurance.

"Everything happens for a reason, that night and this night has a reason. So let's just not talk about anymore". She said with a long breath.

"Your right!". I said normally.

"I'm still clueless about how your alive?" She said chuckling.

"Ho, that yeah.... I actually did die, but just say that God has given me a second life". I said and smiled.

"How?" She asked with wide eyes and smile.

"When we both fainted, after few seconds Shubam and Manvi came to our rescue. They took us to the hospital in the ambulance, my breathing had almost stopped so they gave me shock treatment to keep my heart working. By the time the ambulance reached the hospital I slipped into coma".

I said with leaving a breath.

"What? You went into coma?"

She asked me shockingly.

"Yeah, for two months". I said with a small chuckle.

"Then why did the doctors lie to me? When I asked them, they said you were no more". She said sadly.

"Yes, beacuse Shubam and Manvi didn't want Shakthi to know that I'm alive". I said with a stern face.

"But they could have atlest told me. I was in such a....

She stopped and wiped her tears.

"When your brother and uncle were called by your hostel people. They came the next morning to take you. And you had no choice other than to leave. So Manvi and Shubam thought not to even tell you. They thought you would never come back". I said pointing the fact.

"But still I had the right to know that you were fine and alive".

She said a top of her voice.

"I know but, that time they did what was right!" I said trying to make her understand.

"Yeah, telling me lise! Great!"

She said huffing scarstically.

"Meera, forgive them please for my sake". I asked her lovingly.

She looked at me for some time and then nooded slowly.

"Thank you!" I said with a small smile.

"How did you come to know about my marriage?" She asked curiously.

"When I woke up, the first thing I asked was for you. Then Manvi told me that your family came took you the next day. I was wanting to desperately see you, talk to you, be with you".

I said looking into her eyes.

She kept quiet and looked at me.

"I was feeling deeply guilty for you had to face that horrible night because of me". I said and closed my eyes in anger and pain.

She kept her hands on mine, I opened my eyes to see her smile. I smiled which had all the emotions hidden behind it.

"Then, I went to your hostel to get some information about you. There I met Rita, at first she didn't want to say anything to me. She actually slapped me the first time we met and I told her my name".

I said and chuckled.

"What? She slapped you?" She asked keeping her hand on her mouth.

"Yeah she did! And I actually don't mind. I deserved it".

I said casually with a small chuckle.

But looked down being embarrassed.

"I'm so sorry, she loves me alot. She did not know the truth then. Please forgive her, for my sake". She asked me lovingly this time.

I nooded with a assuring smile.

"Thanks!" She said with a small smile.

"It took me nearly a month to gain her trust and get some information about you. I knew only she's the one who can take me to you. And finally somehow she trusted me and said she will take me to you once she speaks with you first".

"But, wait.... my family didn't allow me to speak with anyone not even her. I didn't see nor spoke to her for past three months". She said sadly.

"Yeah that's why it took us time to know that your family planned to marry you to some old guy. We got to know just yesterday. And we came running. Thank God we were on time".

I said taking a long breath.

"You already planned that you will marry me?" She asked with curiously face.

"No that wasn't the plan. The plan was to take you and run from there. But you being you were not wanting to come with us. So at the moment whatever my heart said to do I did, without a second question. I needed you to be safe, to be guarded and to be happy".

I said giving her a slight smile.

She came forward and hugged me, I too hugged her back tightly. We held each other with care and safety.

"Thank you! Thank you for everything. I can never repay you".

She said pulling me more close.

"I will always do anything to protect you!".

I said and held her tight.

Soon we both realized our position and parted awkwardly. She looked away and so did I.

Then we heard a knock on the door.

"It's dinner I guess!" I said.

"Yeah, I'll get it!" She said and got up going towards the door.

I got up and went to freshenup.

I yet need to tell her the most important part of my life.
