Chapter 18

Meera's POV:

Karan went out in anger. I don't know what's in his mind and what is he planing to do. I just hope he doesn't do anything stupid. I don't want him to spoil his peaceful life because of me.

I waited for him, so long in worry.

I just want him to be back home safe. God please bring my husband back home he's the last person on earth that I got to say mine!

I prayed mentally

I heard the door knock. I ran and opened it. But it's Pari not Karan. I composed myself.

"Are you OK now?".

She asked me with concern.

"Yeah I'm almost fine!".

I said with a small smile.

"Come have dinner with me".

She said holding my hand.

I nooded coming out with her. She made me sit on the chair. She served me on my plate. Looking at her doing all this made my heart happy and sad for some reason.

"How did you warm up all the food?" I asked her in confusion.

"Pooja Didi tought me everything". She said with a small smile.

I nooded smiling back at her.

Suddenly there came a loud sound of thunder. I flinched and the spoon fell down from my hand. I hate the sound of thunder from that night. It scares me very much.

Pari picked up the spoon and kept it back on the table. She held my shoulders and side hugged me. I tried my best to act normal atlest for this kid's sake. I don't want her to see me like this. She has already seen alot she's not supposed to.

"You don't like thunder I see!"

She said with a small chuckle.

I just nooded my head and looked at her. Her face made me to start cry. I just hugged her and started to cry. She hugged me back soothing

my back.

"It's ok.... it will stop in a few hours. I'm here with you".

She said sweetly in my ears.

Just then the main door bell rang. She left me and went to open it. But before opening she tip toed and piped to see who's at the other end.

"Daddy's back!" She said looking at me and opened the door.

I immediately stood up from my place as the door opened and he entered inside all cool and composed.

Pari hugged him, I wanted to run and hug him. But stopped myself from doing so. He looked at me, I just gave him a half smile.

He stretched his hand out and called me. Now how can I stop myself? I walked close and held his hand. But he pulled me into a hug.

We three hugged each other. I can literally feel his heart beat and mine beating in the same phase. Then we parted.

"So, you girls never told me anything about your outing today?" He asked removing his shoes.

Pari went and sat back in her place and started eating.

I came closing the door behind Karan. We went and sat at our places.

"Ho! My day was awesome and your friend was a great company". Pari said making Karan laugh.

Again another loud thunder sound came and I stiffened. Both Pari and Karan held my hand at each side.

I looked at them with an emotional smile.

God, thank you for sending me into this family. I mentally prayed in happiness.

"Uhmmm.... you can stay in my room if you want tonight".

Pari said with a small smile.

"Hmmm it's ok. I'm fine thank you for the offer". I said back smiling.

"You can stay in my room too if you want to". Karan said with a wink.

I looked away and blushed not saying anything.

"Or idea! We three can stay in daddy's room for tonight".

Pari said excitingly.

"That's cool!".

Karan said equally happy.

"Fine with me too!"

I also said happily.

"You guys finish eating and come. I'll get everything ready".

She said and ran to karan's room.

"Your ok?"

Karan asked me holding my hand.

"Hmm...."

I responded nodding my head.

"Hey, it's fine...I'm here".

He said in assurance.

"I'm glad that your here by my side. But, I'm too afraid sometimes. It's like everything comes in front of my eyes."

I said and tears rolled down my face.

"Meera....! He said wiping my tears away.

"Come here". He said and stood up giving me his hand.

I held it getting up. He took me towards the balcony and made me stand there. He stood behind me keeping his hands on the railing securing me around his arms.

The weather just seems to be calm. The dark night looked scary to me.

"Close your eyes and take a deep breath!"

He said near my ear.

His words gave me shivers down my spine our closeness sometimes makes me feels new things.

But, I did as he said.

"Let yourself loose, stop your mind from thinking".

He said but now kept his hands on my waist pulling be back to him.

How the hell to let loose when he's catching me like this? My mind can't stop thinking right now. But I just tried to breath normally. It worked though.

I rested my head back on his shoulder, and he kissed the side of my hair, a faint smile came on my lips.

"You are a strong women, you are a beautiful soul, maybe the time has been tough but, I believe that you will fight back. You can do it, and I know it. You are the most powerful girl I've ever met. Just be yourself. And you don't need to worry about anyone or anything till I'm alive. I'm always here for you! And Remember one more thing

I just truned and looked into his eyes, which has truth in it.

I hugged him tightly so did he.

"Daddy!!" Pari called out.

"Our call is come!" I said breaking our hug with a smile.

"Yup, she has something in mind for sure". He said knowing his daughter well.

"Your better?" He asked me cupping my cheek.

"When your here, I'm always good!" I said with a big smile.

"I'm always here for you!". He said and kissed my forehead.

We smiled and walked towards the room. But just before entering inside.

"Wait I'll just arrange all the things back into the kitchen. You go I'll come".

I said leaving his hand and truned.

He held my hand again and stopped me. I looked at him wiredly.

"I've got a maid to do up things tomorrow morning. Now its time to sleep. So please come and sleep". He said sternly not allowing me to answer, he pulled me along.

I just smiled and went in........
