We Found Us

Chapter 2

Karan's POV:

As I said we are here shopping in city plaza. She is picking up things randomly. She is every bit me. You can say my miniature. She only looks like her mother but all her habits and behavior is are just every bit like mine.

I got a phone call so I stood to attend it. But my eyes were on my baby. She's looking into some books.

"Hey, I took it 1st". I heard her yell at some boy.

"No I took it 1st". He yelled back.

I couldn't cut the call but tried to look over them closely. As I walked towards them some lady came and stood. I couldn't see her face because she was turned and standing.

I assume that boys mother. She took the book and gave it to Pari. She was speaking something with them. Then she held her son's hand and went away.

"Princess, what happened who was that?" I asked her curiously.

"I took this book, but that guy snatched it from me. Then his mother came and scolded him and made him to apologize and took him away".

She said leaving a breath.

"Ho fine, so are you done? Can we go to eat, cause I'm really hungry".

I asked her feeling tired.

"Yup, I'm done. Even I'm hungry". She said smiling sheepishly.

Once we were done eating we went back home. We were about to go to bed.

"Thanks dad I had a lovely day!" She said smiling laying on my lap.

"Anything for you princess!".

I said and kissed her forehead.

Soon she went off to sleep. But every night I think of the women who came into my life but then left me with all the responsibility all alone here. I miss her, but I can't do anything about that. I tear slipped down my eye. I wiped it and drifted to sleep............

NEXT MORNING:

As I entered office everyone where were running from here to there. All have worried looks on their faces.

"Manvi what's wrong? Why is everyone looking so worried?"

I asked her with doubt.

She was holding some files in her hands and crossing me when I held her arm and stopped her.

"Karan, thank God you arrived". She said in relief.

"Why, What's wrong?"

I asked her again.

"We just got informed that CBI is coming for inspection today".

She said worriedly.

I too got tensed hearing the not so good news.

"Ho, I see. That's why all are clearing up everything".

I said glancing everywhere.

"Hmmm...." she nooded.

"Fine, you get to work. I'll go to meet boss".

I told her and we parted ways.

I went to my cabin settled everything and came out to going towards my bosses cabin. I spoke the needful with him. We all were not ready to face a sudden auditing. But some what we knew what to do and how to handle them.

The officers came after an hour and did the whole check up. Our CEO had to answer all their questions and show them whatever they wanted to see. The whole time we were like standing on pins. Once they went without causing any issues we all took a breath of relief.

I was in my cabin when someone knocked the door.

"Come in!" I said boldly.

"Hey, I need an help from you, are you free?

She asked sweetly peeping through the door.

"What?" I asked lamely not even looking at her and into my laptop.

"We have a new girl joining today. She has come in replacement of the old architecture. I don't have time to interrogate and show her around, so can you please do that for me. She should be her in five minutes".

"Where is Shubam, isn't he head of the architecture department?"

I asked and glanced at her then back to my work.

"He's on a con-call with a client, that's why I came here!"

She said huffing.

"Fine!" I said still doing my job.

"Thanks dude I owe you one!".

She said and I heard the door closing.

Exactly after five minutes I heard a knock.

"Come in!" I said loudly.

I heard the door open and looked up...... I froze!!!

Meera's POV:

I'm nervous, it's my first job I want to do my best. I'm totally fresh to this industry. When I applied online I got it instantly and was told to come and join from today. I mean they didn't take any interview as such. I think they are desperately in need of staff.

But I'm so happy, finally I got a chance of doing something for myself. I'm independent and am happy to be free. I have come a long way.... I told myself proudly.

The girl at the reception told me to go inside and look for the managing director's cabin and meet him.

I went as she guided me and came stood in front of a huge glass door and his name is written in bold Italic style.

MR.KARAN KAPADIYA

Marketing Director

I took a deep breath and knocked the door.

"Come in!" Said a loud bold male voice.

As I stepped in, my heart beat raised in nervousness. But not to deny the guy is more than good-looking. I just stood near the door for 5min checking him out. He too was looking at me like he didn't see any girl before. Hehe....

"Good afternoon sir!" I greeted first.

He snapped out of his thoughts and cleared his throat.

"Good noon, Please take a seat".

He said and settled himself on his chair.

I came forward and sat in comfort. He looked at me for another moment. Then blinked his eyes and asked me.

"So, your good name?"

I kept my files on the table and said. "Meera Kappor" with a small smile.

"Nice name..." He said smiling.

"Thank you!". I smiled back.

So...... he said and started to ask me few questions. Then once he was done with all his questions he took me out of the cabin to show me around the office and my cubical.

As we were going towards my cubical.

"Hey, so you got her I guess?"

Came a young girl by our way asking maybe my age.

"Yup, she's good. We got well!".

He said smiling at her and looked back at me.

"Meera, she is Niroshini our HR. The girl who spoke to you online".

Said Karan sir.

"Ho, hello mam finally nice to meet you in person". I said giving her my best smile possible.

"Nice to meet you too Meera. Sorry I had some important work so I couldn't receive you. Hope our MD told you everything".

She said with a tired smile.

"Yeah mam that's absolutely OK.

And yeah, Karan sir did his job great". I said and looked at him.

He smiled. Suddenly his phone rang. He looked at it and got a bit worried.

"Ladies you carry on, I need to take this one".

He said in an hurry and went away.

He didn't even see me once also. But why do I feel bad about it?

"Ho this guy and his emergencies!". Said Niroshini mam and chuckled.

"Come I'll show you your cubicle". She said pulling my hand and walking.

Today's day was awesome, first day meeting new people, new place and everything was lovely. Once the cab stopped near my hostel lain. I got out paid the guy and started walking inside.

Yeah I live in an girls hostel as my village is far away from her. I come from an very small town and family.

So I stay here in the hostel. Going inside I greeted our security uncle. He is a very kind and loving man.

"How was your first day dear?"

He asked me with concern.

"It was great uncle, thanks for asking".

I said smiling and passed by him.

I went to the front desk and signing my entry. I wished Rani the girl who sits there. She to asked about my day, I told her too and then went up to my room by the steps.

Coming inside I was taking into two arms.....

"I'm so happy, congrats on your first day". She screamed.

"Rita I can't breath if you hug me like this". I said in a whisper.

"Ho, sorry!". She said sheepishly.

I went and sat on my bed throwing my bad on my desk.

"So, tell me everything in detail".

She said in excitement and sat beside me.

"Can you let me breath a moment?" I asked her in a annoyed tone.

She is crazy..... but still my best friend and room mate. We both grew up together and came to Delhi together to work after our studies. She is the only one who knows everything about me. She loves me alot so do I.

"Come on woman! Speak up!"

She said shaking my hand.

"Okok chill I'm saying". I said and laughed at her silly behavior.
