Chapter 7

Karan's POV:

My eyes got dried, I became numb. I don't know how to react to this picture in front of my eyes. The beautiful thing I saw few hours ago is now crushed in everyway possible.

And the most hurting part is I'm the reason behind all this. They came and threw her lifeless body on the cold floor. She winced in pain. Her blouse is torn, her hair is messed, her back, hands, legs, face is all bruised. Her face is blue in color. Her tears have dried up.

"What the f**k have you done to with her?"

I asked Shakthi in a shaky voice.

He laughingly said....

"That's exactly what I've done!"

"Meera! Meera, can you hear me? Meera listen to me, Meera". I called out to her but she didn't budge.

"Shakthi, I sware to God I won't leave you for this!" I said gritting my teeth in anger.

"Was she a good fresh piece of meat to relish? Wasn't she boys?"

He asked them smirking evilly.

"Dam boss, I would love to have her again! She was dam tasty!"

Said one of the guys.

"Ho but she was a hell fisty cat to handle, we had to wip her so many times to make her quite".

Said another guy.

"But, I had a good time!"

Said one more.

And they all laughed together.

I didn't know where to go and hide myself. I felt so ashamed of even witnessing this scene.

I'm the cause of all this!!!

Meera's POV:

My eyes slowly opened and I can see Karan sir laying on the floor infront of me. From where did he come here? Or am I dreaming of him? I thought.

In pain a tried to sit up. But suddenly someone caught me by my hair. I yelled in pain.

"Don't do anything to her! Please let her go Shakthi, please don't do this!".

Karan sir pleaded to his huge man.

"Ka...ran...ss..s..ir!"

I voiced out softly.

"Meera, Meera! Can you hear me?" He asked loudly in worry.

I can make out he's in tension and worried about me. But we can't do anything, the damage is already done. It's all over, nothing can be changed.

The man pulled me up roughly and made me stand. I stood not able to stand in pain.

"You see this? Your lovely girlfriend, was eaten up raw by my men! And you can't do anything now!"

He said and laughed evilly.

"Why did you do this to her? Your problem was me right? Why did you bring her into this?"

Asked Karan sir in a painful voice.

I looked at him kneeled on the floor, bleeding everywhere from his face. Does he know this man? What relationship do they share?

I thought to myself curiously.

"Obviously, when you took away the most important thing from me, I did the same with you..... simple!" Said this man.

"She is nobody to me! I have no relation with her, we are just office colleagues....that too she is my junior!" Stated a crying Karan sir.

I saw tears flowing down his eyes. He looked pathetic this moment. Those dark blue eyes had pain, guilt, and worry in them.

"Ho, don't lie to me..... I very well heard you telling Mr. Kumar that she is your girlfriend".

Said this man again.

"No, that was a lie trust me!".

Said Karan sir.

"Trust and you? Never!".

Said this man.

He left my hair and grabbed my elbow. It hurt me but I kept quiet. He dragged me and threw me in the other corner. My head hit the iron bar and I again yelled in pain.

"MEERA!!!" I heard Karan sir's voice.

My body fell on the ground with full force and I couldn't move myself at all. I lay on that cold floor with tears rolling from my eyes. Why god, why did this happen to me? I asked him angrily.

"Get ready to die!".

Said that man to Karan sir with iron rod in his hands.

Tow guys came and tied Karan sir's hands at back and held him straight. I got panicked, what are they doing? Are they really going to kill him? But why? What has he done? Who and why are these men behind Karan sir? So many questions are running in my head.

Just in a blink of eye that man hit Karan sir on his head with a rod. Sir shouted in pain and fell back on the ground.

My voice got shut and no sound came out, but my heart is almost at the tip of my toung. I can see blood all around the place. But I'm not able to do anything.

They all kicked his lifeless body and went away leaving us both in this abandoned place.

I can't let him die! I crawling went close to him. I can see blood all over the place. As I'm crawling on the floor his blood is covering my whole body.

I went near him and heald his face in my hands. Both of us laying on the ground in a pool of blood.

"Kar...an.... s..sir, can you hear me? Please be awake! Dont close your eyes". I wishperd in his ear.

He opened his eyes breathing heavily, he turned to me and kept his hand on my face.

"Mee....ra!" He said softly.

"Karan sir, I'm here!".

I said ceasing his cheeks.

He did the same to me. He came a bit more closer and we rested our foreheads together.

I started to cry, I cried louder and louder. I held his shirt tightly and weeped like a kid.

"Shu....shu....don't cry!".

He said with a cracking voice.

"Why? Why? Did all this happen? Who were those people? Why did they do this?". I asked him angrily but with lot of pain.

"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!".

He said closing his eyes with slow breathing.

Hu....fu....hu....fu....haa

He started breathing rapidly.

"Karan sir! Karan sir! Nonononooo....Karan sir, be still berath slow!".

I said and tapped his cheek.

"I've messaged Shubam for help he should be here anytime!"

He said through his rapid breathing.

"Yeah okay, everything will go fine! You just stay with me, please don't close your eyes".

I said and held his face close to my chest.

"I'm sorry for everything!" He said softly huffing for breath.

"It's not your fault!" I said ceasing his cheek in pain.

He looked into my eyes, and we know the pain we are in now.

Both of us are equally hurt and in immense pain that we are still battling with our hearts and brains.

He slightly touched my face and came close....I can see he's guilty and hurt. I couldn't realize until I felt his lips on my forehead. I closed my eyes with tears falling.

Slowly his breathing stopped and my heart too.

"KARAN!!!!!"

I screamed crying loudly.

"Nooo.....Karan!! You can't die! You can't leave me like this"

I said and hugged him tightly crying louder.

My head started to swing and eyes were shutting due to loss of blood and hypertension my full body was getting weak.

"Karan, karan, k...a...r..a..n!"

The last words from my mouth and that's it!

Darkness consumed me!!!!
