My eyes teared up as I continued reading the letter in my shaking hand. Each word ripped at my heart and I released a soft sob. Feeling a pair of arms wrapped around my waist before I was pulled into a warm chest. "She's gone, Charles". I cried and he turned me around pulling me into a tight hug. "I'm sorry, angel". He whispered kissing my forehead. I could not believe it, my grandmother was dead. She was gone to top it off my father told me that I was not welcomed at the funeral. My family had officially disowned me after I informed them that I was in a relationship with Charles and that we were living as a family.
