Chapter 12

SAKSHI VARMA "So let me get this straight, you put a couple of chicken bouillon cubes inside the showerhead? And by now he must be a walking, talking chicken soup?" Sam asked me laughing. Yes, Sam. She and I have been hanging out after the incident at her office and we get along well. I'm still surprised she wanted to be friends with me after the stunt I pulled at Yash's office.  Currently, we are sitting in the cafe adjacent to my office and gossiping like hormonal teenagers. I had called her earlier to tell her about the prank and she asked to meet here so here we are, gossiping like teenage girls. "Correction, I put a couple of chicken bouillon cubes inside the showerhead with some blue dye. I think he would've become a certified smurf by now." I said between laughs. His face must be hilarious. The only regret I have is that I'm not there to see it.  "Don't you think it's a little..." She trailed off as if she couldn't find the right word to say. "Harsh? Well, it might be harsh for you but for me harsh would have been if I cut his hair in his sleep, or maybe if I shave his eyebrows." I smirked and she just shook her head. We both looked at each other and started laughing again. "That's true." She said between laughs. "But you know that he'll not sit silently after the prank you pulled, right?" She asked soberingly and I just smirked at her. "What do you think I'm doing in my office?" I asked giving her a look that said, 'You dumb, b***h?' "Hiding from him?" She asked, raising an eyebrow and I facepalmed. "Sakshi doesn't hide from anyone. I'm just planning for my second prank." And it was somewhat true. I was planning but not the prank but a way through which I can make him dislike me. But I can't tell this to Sam because I know she'll surely tell that to Arjun. "Uh-huh. Sure you don't fear him." She said, bringing me out of my thoughts. If only she knew. I had stopped fearing years ago. I chuckled inwardly. "Bitch." I poked at her shoulder with my thumb finger.  "After all, I'm the friend of a b***h, what do you expect from me?" She smirked, raising her left eyebrow and I again glared at her. "Whatever. By the way, I had left him a note earlier saying that I'm at my office. I think he's on his way right now. We should leave." I said looking at the watch on my wrist. "Okay, I'll go now. But don't die, please. I still need my bestie." She joked and opened the door to leave. "Okay boss." I mock saluted her and after she left, I moved towards my office cabin to do what I had planned earlier. Just wait and watch Mr Khurana. If I didn't make your life a living hell then my name isn't Sakshi Varma anymore. Just kidding. I'll just change my surname or something if it happens. Wait, if I fail then I will have to change my surname anyways. #Sed loif Whoever says that? Great people like me. Do you mean psycho people like you?  DIE I had told you earlier, you die, I die. But I said DIE not die. And the difference is? Darling, I'm Expert. What-ugh. I'm going I can't handle this much madness. Ha. I win. Just as I entered my office I felt something different. Like someone was just here. So I nonchalantly looked around the room once and smirked slightly when I observed the change in position of the things placed on the office table. Seems like somebody is planning something. This should be interesting.  I took my phone out and sent a text to Andy, a close friend of mine. My phone rang after a min and I picked it up. "Sexy Sakshi! Wassup? Did you miss me, darling?" A cheery masculine voice said from the other end. "Hey, Andy darling how are you? And yes I did miss you." I said truthfully, I haven't talked to him in weeks. I moved towards the black leather sofa placed adjacent to the wall and sat after switching on the speaker mode of the phone, placing it beside me. "Awww I missed you too. Now tell me cupcake how is your day going? And is the fiancé of yours still there?" Andy asked, playing along with my plan. "Ugh, he's still there and it doesn't seem like he's leaving anytime soon." I said in a bored and agitated tone and crossed my right leg over the left one, a habit of mine which I do when I get nervous or really excited. And as of now, I'm both nervous and excited. "Awww darling don't worry. Just say the words and I'll make sure to push him out of our way." Andy said and I bit my lips, trying hard not to smile.  "You will?" I asked in a hopeful tone. "I definitely will. After all, you're the love of my life. He needs to be out of our way. I'll even talk to your father about it and will make sure " He said in an arrogant tone. Just a little more Andy, just a little more. "Thanks, Andy my love. You don't know how much I love you!" I said in a cheery voice but before I could hear his reply, a hand caught my phone and cut the call. "What the-no!" Before I could stop Arjun he threw the phone on the adjacent wall breaking it into pieces. For a moment, I stood there, shocked, processing the events that just took place. But when I saw him advancing towards me, without thinking I picked up the nearest thing which was a vase and threw it at him. Luckily he managed to move before the vase could hit him. I swear one day I'll surely hit him and that too with a vase only.  "What the hell, woman?! Are you mad? You could've killed me!" He yelled. "Sadly you aren't dead. Now I'll have to think of some other way to get rid of you." I said in a solemn tone, placing a hand over my chest. "And who the hell was that candy guy?" He tilted his head slightly and looked at me intensely as if he could see right through me. Maybe he can, after all, he was a psychology student and psychologists tend to read their patients like an open book. But the only difference is, even if he wants to read me, he wouldn't be able to read certain chapters of my life until I tell him myself.  With a straight face, I replied, "It's Andy and I love him."  In a flash, he pulled me to himself, almost making me trip. I gasped in surprise as he held both of my hands behind my back in a firm grip. "What are you doing? Leave me." I tried to push him but he just tightened his hold on me and pulled me more closer, if it's even possible. He kept looking at me, making me feel more and more nervous by each passing second. "So you love him right?" I felt his hot breath fanning on my ear as he spoke. The smell of his cologne invaded my senses, making my mind go blank  "W-what?" I dumbly asked. "That candy guy, you love him right?" He slightly nibbled on my ear making me feel ticklish. "N-no, I mean yes. I love him." I stuttered out. Great, Sakshi. Just great. You just gave yourself out.  "Liar." He whispered and kissed my cheek. Isn't he feeling too touchy nowadays?  You're not complaining, are you? Certainly not. "You think I don't know what you were trying to do?" He asked getting my attention back. He traced the outline of my jaw with the back of his hand and took my lower lip between his thumb and the forefinger.  "I don't know what you are talking about." I replied breathlessly looking directly into his eyes, while he just kept tracing my face with his fingers, so slowly that it sent shivers down my spine. "I had told you earlier that nothing you say or do can change my mind about this marriage so instead of making these useless plans, plan our marriage." He said. "And I told you we're not getting married anytime soon." I glowered at him, trying to free myself from him. "Well too bad for you. We are going to marry and that too soon." He said, putting emphasis on soon. I glared at him. "Ahm ahm." A throat clearing made me aware of my surroundings. Arjun was standing in front of me, blocking the view of the intruder. But wait a second. That voice seems familiar. But where have I heard it before?  "Can't you see we're busy. Come back later." Arjun yelled rudely at the intruder, his eyes never leaving mine. "Okay then, I guess I'll meet you at home, cookie." The intruder chuckled.   Cookie? Oh s**t!
