SAKSHI VARMA
When I went outside I saw an Audi pulling out. Here goes my fiancé. At least I wouldn't have to meet him now. And he did save me from dad, otherwise, dad would've killed me if he got to know that I was in jail. Sigh.
And I'm still contemplating if I should go and get my dahi vada or if I should go and meet this Mr Kapoor. God! Why is life so cruel? It's so hard to decide. Both are important right now. But I should go and meet him first. Sorry, my lovely dahi vade, I promise I will make it up to you by eating 2, no, 3 plates of you.
When I reached Married Forever Co., I ran inside the building, ignoring the receptionist who asked me to stop. I don't have time for this and I'm not going to stop until I get my hands on this Mr Kapoor.
As soon as I saw a room which had a nameplate saying CEO I barged inside without knocking. Inside there was a man and a woman who were talking about something. When they saw me, they both froze.
"Are you Mr Kapoor?!" I asked more like growled at the man.
The receptionist came running behind me and said to the man, "sorry sir, I-"
"It's okay Sia, you can leave now." He cut her off. She nodded and left.
"I am Yash Kapoor. And I guess you are Ms Sakshi Varma. Here, sit, we have a lot to discuss." He said and gestured me to take a seat as he sat calmly in his seat like he's some kind of royalty.
"Hi. I'm Sameera Kapoor, this i***t's wife and PA. I was the one who received your call." The woman who was quietly listening to us now spoke. She seems innocently cute. Is that even possible?
"Oh. I'm so sorry about how I spoke to you. I was angry." I said guiltily. She is sweet and I feel guilty for talking to her like that.
"Nah. It's fine. Nice to meet you, Sakshi." She waved off her hands and smiled at me. God, she has a cute smile. A throat clearing broke my train of thoughts. It was Yash.
"You! You are the one because of whom I went to jail!" I picked up a vase from the table and threw it at him which he luckily ducked. Lucky bastard.
"Woman! Have you lost it?! You almost killed me. And what do you mean by because of me you went to jail?" He asked looking confused.
"Nothing. Just leave it. I don't have time to explain now." I sighed and then asked, "And tell me who the f**k is this fiancé of mine? He bailed me out and went away without meeting me. I have to thank him and then ask him to clear all these misunderstandings. Also why I am engaged without me knowing it?!"
"Well for starters, you are engaged to Mr Arjun Khurana. And well… your grandfather was the one who signed a contract with Arjun's grandfather to get you two married. We're just here to get you two married." He said with a straight face, but I can feel he was amused by all this.
What?! How can he do such a thing to his only grandchild? I'm not going to marry someone just because he wants me to.
"I don't care whatever the contract is about. I don't want to be married to anyone so please cancel this engagement thing." I said in a cold voice that can freeze Antarctica. If I don't want to marry then I will not marry. Nobody can force me to marry and that too to someone I don't know.
"Sorry, Sakshi but we can not do that." Yash sighed.
"Why the f**k not?!" I growled.
"Because your fiancé doesn't want that." A new voice spoke from behind me. His voice held an authority that can't be ignored.
I spun on my heels to glare at the person who spoke. Oh my. He looks deliciously edible. But I have things to sort out, so no drooling over the deliciously handsome man.
"And why the f**k I will listen to my so-called 'fiancé' when I don't even know him? Also who the hell are you to say this?" I asked, air quoting the fiancé part. Who the f**k this man thinks himself as? He can't just barge in and say things.
"Because I said so. I am your fiancé who saved your ass and bailed you out of jail." He said coming near me, his eyes black as coal.
"And I didn't like the stunt you pulled. You could have been highly injured." He whispered harshly in my ear as I glared at him. Why does he even care? He doesn't even know me.
"Ahm, guys." Yash cleared his throat and said, "now that you two are here we can discuss the wedding preparations."
"What wedding?! I told you I am not marrying anyone," I glared at him and muttered, "not in this life anyway."
Arjun looked like he wanted to punch something, preferably me. As if. I can take him down easily.
"Our wedding. We are going to get married in two weeks." Arjun announced as if it is some party, not a wedding. He was still standing close to me, so close that I could smell his scent. He smells like cinnamon and chocolate.
"I'm pretty sure that marriage needs the consent of two people, not one." I shot back and glared at him. His eyes became darker, almost pitch-black colour as he pulled me closer towards him.
I pushed him and moved towards the table. Before anyone can contemplate I picked up another vase and threw it at the man who called himself my fiancé. But luckily he moved out of the way in time so that the vase hit the door and broke.
Everyone gasped in shock.
