SAKSHI VARMA
Everyone was stunned by the stunt I pulled. What can I say? I have a bad habit of stunning people. And well, I do irrational things when I'm mad, so yeah.
Arjun who was now standing at the corner of the room broke the silence, "Yash, Sam, please leave and don't come inside until I say so." He said in such a calm tone that gave me chills.
"Bro-" Yash started but Arjun cut him off.
"Leave, Yash." He said, leaving no room for argument. Yash sighed and started leaving the room. Sameera gave me a nervous smile and she too left. Now I'm nervous too. What? He might kill me when he gets me alone.
As soon as they left, he went towards the door and locked it. "Hey, why are you locking the door?" I asked looking between him and the door. He turned and started coming closer and I took steps backwards.
"Stop right there." He took a step forward.
"Hey! I told you to stop there. Don't come closer." Another step. The f**k?! Is he unable to hear me?
Suddenly my hand came in contact with something, it was another case. How many vases does Yash even keep? Anyways, I caught it and said, "stay there or I'm throwing this."
"Try me." He challenged me and before I could even throw the vase he caught my hand causing the vase to fall down.
I tried to free my hand from him but he just tightened his hold more.
"Ugh! What do you want?" I asked, getting frustrated. I just want to go and sleep now.
"I want you to marry me." He said seriously.
"But why? You don't even know me. And my father will never agree to this." I almost whined.
"I have my reasons to marry you. And about your father, I already talked to him" He replied getting smug.
My father knew this? And he didn't even tell me? Dad, you're in deep s**t right now. You better run before I get home.
"Look, I don't know what you talked about with my dad. Just please leave me. I'm hungry, I'm mad. I want my food before I kill someone." I said pushing him slightly. This time he let me.
"Okay. Just because you are hungry I'm letting you leave. We're not finished here. At all. And don't do something that will make me punish you. I'll meet you soon, my little fiancé." He whispered slightly biting my ear and left the room.
What. Just. Happened?
After he left, Yash and Sameera came inside and looked at the broken vase and then at me.
"You okay, Sakshi?" Sameera asked me.
"Yeah, I am okay," I reassured her.
"So friends?"
"Definitely." I grinned at her.
"Guys, you forgot I'm still here," Yash whined.
"Shut up Yash." We both said at the same time and looked at each other then started laughing.
"You guys are mean." He again whined to which we laughed more.
"So Sam, you free now? Because I am hungry." I said raising my eyebrows.
"Yeah sure. What do you have in mind?" She asked.
"Do you mind if we get some dahi vada or samosa?" I asked her.
"Hell no! Let's go right now!"
"Yess." I squealed.
"I think it was a bad idea to let you two meet." Yash sighed. He's still here?
"Shut up Yash." Sam and I both shouted again. His expressions were hilarious.
"God! Women! I'm going." He said and left the room.
After that Sam and I went to have samosa and talked. When I reached home it was almost 6 pm. I saw sitting on the sofa and watching TV when I entered the house.
"Dad," I said standing behind him.
He jumped and relaxed when he saw me, "Sakshi! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?!" He asked placing a hand on his chest.
"No, but you surely planned to give me one," I said, crossing my arms and glared at him.
"So you know huh?" He asked.
"Yes and that too from strangers. Not from my own dad and grandfather, who agreed for this marriage. Care to tell me why did you agree to this? And grandfather, where is he?" I asked.
"You know I love you right? I would always want the best for you. And he's the right one for you. Your grandfather thinks that too. He'll be coming here next week." He said taking my hands in his.
"Dad, you know why I don't want to marry him or anyone. His life will be in danger if he marries me and I can't let another innocent die for me. I will not be able to bear the loss of another person." I said painfully. I can't live knowing that another person died for me. I just can't.
"I know baby, I know. But for that, you can't always stay alone. You need to rely on someone. How long will you push everyone away? Just give him a chance?" He asked. Dad and his emotional blackmail.
"Dad I have lived my life alone for so many years so I'm pretty sure I can manage," I replied.
"But everyone needs a person in their life with whom they can spend their whole life. You need to try. Please? For me?" Ugh, dad why do you do this emotional blackmail? I can't say no to this and he knows it well.
"Okay. I'll try." I sighed.
But I'm not going to make it easy for him. I can't back out from this marriage but he can, right? He'll be the one who says no to this marriage. I will make sure of it.
Mr Arjun Khurana, watch out. Because after this your life will never be the same. You won't even remember what hit you. I smirked inwardly.
