I woke up early to prepare myself for my stakeout with Nate. I picked out a dress and my bag and started loading it with what I thought I would need. A flash drive that was programmed to attach myself to any computer I needed. I fully loaded glock, my secured laptop and my phone. Nate would take care of every other thing we would need. I quickly got dressed and went downstairs. I went to the meeting room where I knew Nate would be relaying information to Ezra.
“I am horrible in Russian, in case you forgot”. Nate was telling Ezra once I got in. Ezra shook his head before rubbing his hands over his face. He looked like he barely got any sleep.
“Something is better than nothing. This stakeout better have something resourceful come out of it”. Ezra said and Nate nodded.
“Of course it will; I’m going to be there”. I said announcing my presence. Ezra moved shocked. He must not have seen me come in. He turned to look at me shocked at my presence or maybe it what I said that had I'm flustered.
“Nate, can you explain to me why Alma is going to you?” Ezra turned to Nate who just shrugged. He looked at me like he didn’t know what to say.
“I’m going, Nate can’t stop me. Plus I want to do something”. I said and Ezra looked at me like he was going to hit me. I smiled innocently and he lowered his head and sighed. He raised his head slowly before turning to Nate. He was always dramatic.
“Nothing should happen to her, and if you so much as suspect something is wrong you abort”. Ezra said with so much seriousness that I shifted where I stood.
“We’ll be fine. I won’t let anything happen to her”. Nate glanced at me briefly when he replied. I smiled slightly but killed it when Ezra also glanced at me.
“I also need to remind you of what will happen if you so much as touch her wrong”. Ezra said again and Nate raised his hands in surrender. He was the reason why we kept our relationship a secret. He was against it from the first time he caught Nate looking at me. Nate just nodded, raising his hands in mock surrender. Ezra stepped back and turned to me and leveled me a look. I didn’t fault him for worrying about me but I would hit him in the head if he tried to restrict me, I told him so last night. I smiled at him to let him know I wasn’t backing down. He shook his head slightly clearly remembering our discussion last night. I looked passed him to Nate and nodded. He walked passed me grabbing my bag on his way out.
“Protect him alright”. Ezra said and I smiled brightly. He had no idea.
“Of course, I can’t let you lose the other half of your brain”. I taunted and he laughed. Once the joke died down he looked at me with this serious expression and I nodded in understanding.
I turned around and headed outside where I knew Nate would be waiting in the car. Ezra was walking right beside me as we got there. He walked straight to where Nate was seating in the driver’s seat as I went to the passenger door. Ezra whispered something to Nate and I couldn’t hear. Once I was seated and closed the door behind me Ezra stood up as he was done with whatever he was telling Nate. He gave us a brief salute and stepped back. Nate pulled the car out of the driveway and before long the house was far away.
“What’d he tell you?” I turned to Nate and noticed his lips curl up by the sides.
“Curious aren’t we?” He said and I hit his arm. He recoiled while laughing. He rubbed his arm briefly before focusing back on the road. He still kept an eye on me from the side.
“He told me to look after you and he knows you're strong enough to take care of yourself but you don’t know when to call quits”. Nate said and I nodded. He was right, if I saw an opportunity to get information that would give us the upper hand I would take it even if I was putting myself danger. I wasn’t willing to put Nate in danger and I knew he wouldn’t let me risk myself so I wasn’t going to be doing anything reckless.
“You have nothing to worry about”. I said simply.
“Don’t give me that crap. I know if I wasn’t here you’d jump right in front of a raging bull if it had a way to get rid of these people”. Nate glanced at me briefly.
“Exactly, you are here so there’s nothing to worry about”. I said and turned to look at the road. Nate was my anchor in a lot of ways, he made life worth living.
“I’ll always be here”. He reached across the center console and held my hand. He squeezed reassuringly and I looked to him and smiled.
“I’ll always be here. I’m not going anywhere”. I said as well and he glanced sideways briefly but enough to flash me one of those his drool worthy smiles.
Soon after we got to the hotel and we moved quickly. Nate handed me the bag which he had dropped in the trunk. He gave the valet the keys and we walked in hand in hand. There was no use in hiding our faces as everyone knew who we were. We went straight to the reception and Nate smiled at the attendant. I looked around mindlessly while my hands worked. I got out one of the flash drives I had brought along with me and hid it in my palm. I placed my hand on the table and worked to connect it to one of the USB ports which was assessable. Nate talked to the attendant distracting her while I worked. I made sure I gave the bored look till I got it in. It would automatically connect to my laptop and then I’d be able to assess the main drive of the hotel, security, surveillance and register. Nate finally rounded up with the attendant and I noticed her slip of paper across the table with the key. Nate picked both the paper and the key and placed it in his pockets before pulling me away. We didn’t talk to each other till we got into the elevator and the door closed.
Nate’s hands instantly went around my waist and pulled me into him. I wrapped my hands around his neck on instinct and the next thing I know his mouth was on mine and he was kissing me like he’d die if he didn’t. I didn’t argue, instead I matched his intensity with my desperation. One of his hands trialed down to below my ass and he pulled me up. I jumped wrapping my legs around his waist. His hands settled under my ass holding me up. I pressed myself into him and he held me tighter. We carried on till the elevator stopped and I got down from him. I still stood close to him, adjusting his shirt to look pristine like I didn’t have my hands all over him. He looked down at me with hooded eyes. A promise of a good time after this was over. My p***y clenched at that thought but we had to focus first. We got out of the elevator and Nate left his hands on my waist keeping me really close as we got to our room and got to work on destroying these f*****g Russians.
