When I gave Brad the article you wouldn't imagine how happy he is, he jumped up and down with this face is I guess his happy face and hugged me yelling thank you over and over.
He said he'll publish the school's paper on Monday with my article on the front page.
I never felt so happy either.
When I first told my father about being in journalism he grew angry and yelled at me, saying that I should stop immediately because it's just a waste of time and I just should stick to girly stuff like cheerleading.
Gosh he's a stereotype for his damned age.
Yeah I have blonde hair and blue eyes but I'm not some f*cking bimbo.
This will show him and I'll shove this up his ass.
Finally it's Saturday and I'm in Sophia's house in their backyard, they have a pool, how awesome is that?
My dad didn't want to install a pool in our backyard which sucks but I get to go in Sophia's house whenever I want.
I splashed Sophia who's on her phone.
She glared at me before splashing me back with water, she placed her phone down and dove in with me.
"You're always on your phone, I wonder why." I tell her while ducking my head underwater and swimming to the other end of the pool, I surfaced and raised an eyebrow at Sophia who shrugged.
"I always get texts from the team." she tells me and I pout, "You're already replacing me?" I whine while swimming back to her.
She laughed, shaking her head, "I could never replace you, no one will give me food on my birthday if I do." she teases and I gasp, slightly pushing her shoulder.
"You only use me for food?! for shame!" I said while ducking back in the water and surfacing to get water in her mouth that's open.
I laughed when she coughed and I slapped her back, "Chlorine will be good for you, it'll clean your dirty mind." I tell her while she just pushed me.
I laughed, floating on water and staring at the sky.
I sighed, I closed my eyes.
What if my mother didn't disappear what could have been my life right now? Will my father not be like the way he is?
Will he be kind and not bring his wh0res around our house?
I snapped my eyes open and swam towards the end and pulled myself out of the water and went to get my towel and dried myself.
I glanced at Sophia who's looking me up and down, I smirked.
"Stop checking me out, or I'll think that you like me." she rolled her eyes, "I was thinking that... you're hot and you're hiding behind your glasses and baggy clothes. Just, stop." she tells me and I raise my eyebrows.
What does she mean?
"Stop? Why? I don't like attention, you know that. If I stop wearing those, they'll talk about me and they'll start to stare. I don't want that." I tell her while sitting down and pulling my knees to my chest and placing my chin on my knees.
She sighed, shaking her head.
"You'll come out of your shell sooner or later."
"I pick the latter."
She just sighed again and her mom walked in placing cookies down on the table and juice.
"The lasagna's almost ready so I thought that you girls are hungry so I brought snacks." Aunt Janice said while grinning.
I smiled at her, she's not really my aunt, I just call her aunt Janice because she insists and we're like family from how long we've known each other.
When Aunt Janice walked out I took a cookie and a glass of apple juice, taking a bite, I eye Sophia who's narrowing her eyes at me.
I raise my eyebrows at her, she shrugs, "I'm making you uncomfortable, is it working?" she asked and I pretended to think about it before shaking my head no.
She groaned, taking a cookie and munching on it, "I'll make you come out of your shell someday."
"But not today." I smirk at her and she glared at me continuing on munching on her cookie.
I glanced at my wrist watch before frowning, "I need to get home." I tell her and she nodded, "Your dad have another guest over?" she asked and I nodded.
She threw me my shirt and short and I slipped it on over my slightly wet bikini.
"Tell your mom I said bye." I tell her and she showed me to the door, I stepped out and took out the keys in my pocket.
I walked to my car and slipped in, I inserted the key to the ignition and drove out of their driveway, I started driving back home.
When I reached our house I parked inside the garage and went in, when a maid saw me she looked nervous but she walked towards me.
What twisted her panties? Wait that's wrong, I think it's don't get your panties in a twist.
"Your father asked that you should stay in your room than meeting his guest." she said and I raised my eyebrows.
"No." then I walked past her and up to my room.
Maybe it's another one of his wh0res, maybe that's why he doesn't want me to meet his "guest".
I walked in my room, locking it behind me and walking towards my closet, I changed out of my clothes and slipped on underwear and wore a white tank-top and jeans.
I topped the crop top with a mint green jacket.
I wore my green flats and went out of my room but stopped and ran a hand through my hair.
I shrugged, I don't care who dad's guest is.
I went to the dining room where my father is talking to a man, shaking hands, when my father noticed me he looked like he wanted to commit murder.
I stifled a smirk and walked towards them, "Hello, I'm Jade, his daughter." I stuck out my hand and the man flashed me a smile, shaking my hand.
The man tilted his head and stared at me.
I grew uncomfortable so I slipped my hand away from his grasped and plastered a smile.
"Jade, this is my friend, Mr.Adams." my father introduced me and I smiled, "I'm surprised that my father still has a friend." I said with a mocking smile towards my father who looked like he wanted to strangle me.
Mr.Adams just chuckled, "I'm surprised too that I still consider him as a friend." and my dad threw Mr.Adams a glare.
I already like Mr.Adams.
"Actually I just visited because I want to invite the two of you to my wife's party, it's going to be her birthday and she decided to invite you two." Mr.Adams said while taking out an envelope out of his briefcase and handing it to my father.
"We will be there." my father nodded and I smiled, "When will the party happen?" I ask sweetly and he checked his watch before shrugging.
"Tomorrow."
I nodded, "Okay then."
