Thai-ed Up during the Australian Invasion
Landing in Bangkok twenty-two hours later, she took a limo to her hotel near Soi Cowboy. The surprise visit (or by the manager’s estimate a surprise), required some room shuffling to accommodate her. A couple from Nebraska returned hot and weary from a long day of touring, only to discover the manager had downgraded them.
This lead to a great deal of whining that Clarice was not privy to, nor did she care. Infuriated, they left to parts unknown. In the meantime, since the windows didn’t open, she cranked the heat in the penthouse to help her adapt to the outside temperature. This, as opposed to the usual tourist air conditioning, made the room hot yet dry.
