“I have to agree with Luke on this.” Greg spoke up. Shay’s head whipped around, her eyes full of hurt and betrayal. They weren’t trying to be mean. They wanted to keep her safe.
“He’s right, Shay.” Jack added. Barry didn’t say anything but nodded his agreement. At least they all had his back on this. Not that he should have expected different. They’d always had his back. Ever since this team was formed. Everyone had each other’s back. No matter what.
“I don’t know what’s going on but even I have to agree with these guys.” Drew chimed in.
Luke forgot about Drew for a moment. They were sharing insider things with an outsider but Drew seemed to take things in stride as if this was a norm for him. Luke felt torn between filling him in or keeping Drew in the dark. He wasn’t part of the team
