When Vivek noticed Anita’s name flashing on his phone screen, a flicker of unease crossed his face. He quickly rejected the call, but the tension lingered in his expression.
Vanshika noticed it immediately.
“Who was calling?” she asked calmly.
“An old friend,” Vivek replied without hesitation.
“Then why didn’t you answer?” she asked.
“He was asking to borrow some money,” Vivek said smoothly. “Don’t worry, I’ll talk to him later.”
Vanshika studied his face for a moment, then nodded.
“Alright,” she said. “So… what should we do now?”

“There’s a lot we can do together,” he said carefully. “But whatever you feel comfortable with should come first.”
