Chapter 15Rapunzel lumbered past them in the direction of the smaller ships. The family followed. When they got to the human apartments, Rapunzel stopped to look inside the Davidsons’. It made a gagging noise like it might vomit at the sight of the gruesome scene. “Just keep going,” he instructed. When they got to the end of the row, Cillian stopped them. He turned and banged on a door. The sudden noise made Henri jump. Quicker than he expected, Zoe answered.
“C’mon. We’re leaving the ship.”
“What?”
“Just come with us. It’s not safe here.”
“Uh, okay.” In pink pajamas and slippers, Zoe left without any attempt to gather belongings. She joined them in the hallway, and the group continued on as though nothing had changed.
