Chapter 70

Annalisa’s POV

I sit at the lake on Crystal Lakes territory. I went for an early morning run in human and wolf form, then to warrior training this morning and a specialized training session with Thane and Lucas. Now I sit and look at the charm bracelet my parents gave me. Remembering my dad’s message ‘everything you need is right here’, and as always, he was right, but right now the one thing I need, I can’t have. I miss my mom and dad. And with tomorrow being the night of the party and the day of retribution, I wish I could talk to them and hold them before such a big day. Tomorrow night is the conclusion of a year’s worth of work and dedication. Tomorrow, I get my revenge on Dark Hollow. I get to look into the eyes of the man who took my parents due to greed and the men who stole my innocence due to being evil. Tomorrow, I will free our world of the cancer that is Dark Hollow. And though I am comfortable in my ability to win and take back what is mine. I would give everything up right now to just be able to hug my parents one more time. As I sit contemplating and preparing, I know my body is physically ready, but my heart is hurting. I lie here and cry for all I have lost and for the hope of what’s to come. I get a text and grab my phone to see who it is, the text is from an unknown number.

Unknown #: I got accepted. I am going to be an elite warrior

Unknown #: I know we are not supposed to be talking until next year, but I received the acceptance email, and you were the first person I wanted to tell

Unknown#: I miss you! How are you?

Me: Hi Donovan. Congratulations!!

Unknown #: What’s wrong?

Me: What do you mean? Why do you think something is wrong?

Uknown#: I get the feeling that something is wrong. Are you okay? Talk to me Anna

Me: I’m fine Donovan

Unknown #: Are you worried about tomorrow? Don’t, you will be wonderful! You will avenge your parents and take back your birth right. Your mom and dad would be so proud of you!

Me: I miss them

Unknown#: It’s normal to miss them, especially with what you plan to do tomorrow and why you are doing it. I know you would rather they were here and not have to do any of this tomorrow, but that is not your life. Just remember what you are doing this for. You are doing this for them, to avenge them and all the other women and children who need avenging because there are wicked people in this world

Unknown#: Don’t feel sad about missing them. Be happy about the memories you have of them and that you can remember stuff about them

Me: THANK YOU, DONOVAN. I know I am doing the right thing, and those bastards need to pay. Guess I just need some support and someone to talk some sense into me

Unknown#: That’s what I am here for. To support you!

Me: Congratulations on elite training. When do you start?

Unknown#: Next month and it lasts for 3–4 months depending on my specialties. I am then going to do alpha training for 6 months. I figured I needed to pass the time, and I needed to be ready to be co-alpha with you

I smile and shake my head.

Me: Who said you would be co-alpha's? You will be my Luna

Unknown#: If that’s what it takes to be by your side, I’ll be your Luna

I send him a laughing emoji and a TTYL. He really turned my day around.

“What are you smiling about” Tessa asked, walking towards me, along with Finley and Zora

“Nothing”

“Bullshit! Who are you texting?” Finley asks trying to take my phone

“No one. Go away” I respond, hiding my phone

“Is it Nicholas?” Zora asks

“No, we rejected each other”

“What?” they all yell

“Are you okay, Anna?” Tessa asks

“Yes, I am fine. It was a mutual decision. We are not compatible and will be better as friends”

“Are you sure?” Zora asks

“How was the pain?” Finley asks

“There was none. I think because the Moon Goddess knew it would probably happen and was okay with it, neither of us felt pain”

Being that I just came home last night. I have not gotten a chance to update the girls on all the mate drama. So, they don’t know about Donovan and our bond.

“What do you mean the Goddess is okay with it? The Goddess is never okay with a rejection” Finley says

“While at Full Moon, Mina a friend and witch hybrid, told me about a message she received from the Goddess. That she knew I was having a hard time with Nicholas accepting me for who I am. That he is looking for someone who is no longer like me. So, to ensure I had a mate; she created a weak bond between myself and another,, the same for Nicholas. We both met and identified the other mates and after spending time together, we realized that things would not go well with us together, and we rejected each other”

“Holy s**t Anna! So, you have another mate? A third mate? Who gets three mates?” Zora asks surprised

“Yeah” I respond

“And you know who he is?”

“Yeah”

“And he has you cheesing like that?”

“Yeah”

“AWWWW” they all say

“Details, spill, now” Finley says

“I am not giving you his name. But we decided, since I am technically not 18 yet, we will take the year and meet again at my 18th birthday. See where things go from there”

"Then we are going to have to make sure you have the most 18th birthday ever" Zora says

“So, are you ready for tomorrow?" Tessa asks

“Yes and no. I am ready to get the revenge my parents, myself and those women and children deserve after being taken advantage of by Dark Hollow and the other packs. But I am not ready to go back there and face all of those demons. I have also been really missing my parents today and have been a bit depressed. But as I was told, I am not going to feel sad about missing them. But be happy about the memories I have of them and that I can remember stuff about them”

“He told you that?” Zora asks

I shake my head, yes, and think about him

“AWWWW” they say in unison

“So what’s your plan after this weekend? After you take your revenge, what is next for Annalisa Royal?”

“Good question”
