Chapter 47

Annalisa’s POV

It only takes about two hours to get back to Full Moon, but my ride back took four. I thought a lot about what happened with Nicholas and talked to Ruby about it. She is upset about what he did, but she understands his possessive and jealous nature. He is an Alpha wolf and the King. But with that, we both admit that the people we are may not be who he is looking for in his position. We admit not all men can handle being with an equally strong woman. We decide to continue with what we need to accomplish, and we will deal with our relationship issues afterward. We agree that if we are not what he wants, we will accept his rejection with no hesitation or regrets.

It is late when we get back to the pack and most members are at home and in bed. The hum of my bike is the only noise you hear within the territory. The packhouse is quiet, and I head to the kitchen for something to eat before going to bed. I start to make me a sandwich when I smell and feel three people enter the kitchen.

“What are you guys doing up?” I say

Closing the refrigerator and turning around, I am looking into the eyes of my cousins and my best friend. Tess comes to me and hugs me. We have not been friends for long, but she understands me more than anyone. I am so happy we met.

“We wanted to make sure you were okay” Teresa says

“I am fine”

“You always say that. Even when you are not” Thane says with a smirk

“Anna, we heard the recording. We heard what he said. Are you okay?” Tessa asks

“I am. I understand that he did not know, and he was jealous, but what he said was hurtful. It really hurt a lot!” I say and start to cry

“How can you love someone and say those things about them? Treat them like that?” I say as I continue to cry

My cousins come around the island and hold me until I stop crying.

“He is under the assumption that I don’t feel the bond as strong as he does because I am not yet 18. If he only knew that had nothing to do with it. Ruby was so hurt by what he said, and it seems his wolf felt the same way”

“What have you decided to do?” Teresa asks

“He doesn’t know what he wants. On one hand, he wants me because of the bond, but he feels the queen should submit and be the docile wife who takes care of the kids. That is not me, nor will it ever be me. In addition, I have a job to finish. So, I concluded we have no contact with each other and focus on what we need to do. Then we will decide to accept or reject each other”

“What about Ruby? Is she okay with this? Our wolves want their mates”

“Yes, she is. She is leaving it up to him and is confident the goddess will bless us when the time is right. I know our situation is unconventional, and I will accept whatever the outcome is. I did not go through everything the last six years to just hand over everything my parents worked for to some man. Nor did I survive this last year to not grow into the independent woman that I am. I can only be me. If I am not what he wants, that’s okay. Just like you guys found men who accept you for you, I will find someone who wants me for me. Or I will be alone and to be honest, I am okay with that right now”

“I agree with Ruby, the goddess will bless you with the right man for you” Tessa says

“Are you ready for tomorrow? Your story will be out there for all to see?” Thane asks

“Yes and no. I am ready to get this process started. If my story will help get rid of these evil men and the crooked council, then yes. Am I excited about them finding out what actually happened to me? No. But if I can survive what happened, I will survive this”

“We are here, your family always has your back, no matter what. Remember that!”

They hang with me while I eat my sandwich. Then we all go to bed. We all have an early day tomorrow.

Alpha Clarence

Elder Rhane is here this week for the yearly visit to the pack. He is one of the Elders who is aware of our business and who I pay a large fee to look the other way. He even partakes in the goods when he is here. Normally, he would get to play with the abducted girls, but with the cabin burning down, I don’t have anywhere to put them. I have a shipment waiting for me with Mr. Smalls and I just need to contact him. I converted a room down in the basement of the packhouse and made it soundproof. I have already chosen an omega to service Elder Rhane’s for the week. And since I have not seen him since he got here four days ago. I think he is doing fine. I received a call from Elder Peters today that he and Elder Lincoln are coming to the pack in a few days. Elder Rhane’s has decided to extend his trip since his colleagues will be coming. I then extended the invite to Elders Edwards and Jacks. The Werewolf King left to go to Full Moon for a week, so they are coming to have fun while he is gone. I have decided to give them the rogues we just got in addition to a few omegas I have on reserve. I am looking at the pack budget and trying to see how I can work getting more girls from Mr. Smalls, also Blake’s birthday is coming up, and I want to throw him a party introducing him to other Alpha’s for when he eventually takes over for me, which honestly won’t be anytime soon.

I linked Tina and told her to bring me some food. She has become the cooperative little slave that I never knew I needed. She still cries when I take her, which I love, but she won’t go anywhere as long as I have her mate. Whenever she gets defiant, I just threaten to kill him. Once she told me ‘no’ and I whipped him in front of her. She has been compliant ever since. Tina arrives with a food tray, she sits it on the table in the office and arranges everything just the way I like it. She then goes and stands in the corner until I call her. While I’m eating Blake and Lance come into my office.

“Dad, my birthday party is in two weeks. What’s the plan? We have confirmation of attendance from about half of those invited, even Alpha Xander and Luna Teresa are coming. This party has to be spectacular. We also need a lot of unmated women there, so I can find my mate” Blake says

“Since your birthday is on Saturday, why don’t we invite all the packs with available daughters in a rank no lower than lead warrior to a party on Friday. Then you can meet them all, and choose one to announce at your party on Saturday. We need to establish some new alliances. Maybe find some more business partners”

“So far the packs that have accepted are ones we already do business with, along with a few small packs we would never glance at. About thirty packs so far have accepted. The only people you have coming from a large pack is Full Moon” Lance comments

“An alliance with Full Moon would be beneficial. I don’t see Xander getting involved in our business venture though. But just to say we have an alliance with them would be worthwhile. Send out invitations to all packs that have accepted. That we will be hosting a mate-finding party the night before. All unmated men and women ranked from Alpha to lead warrior are invited”

“I’ll have the lead omega work on it” Lance said leaving the office

“Dad, I want more responsibility in caring for the pack. At some point you will hand me the Alpha title and I should be learning and doing stuff now” Blak says

“I’ll think about it. We will talk about after your party. Leave me”

He wants my Alpha title. I just know it. Well, tough s**t. I have been feigning for this position for years, and I’m the one that had to fight for it. Now that I got it, I’m not just going to hand it over to him. He did nothing to be alpha. I may pass it down to him, but it won’t be anytime soon, and I should make him fight me for it. I had to fight for it. Why shouldn’t he? I’ll deal with Blake later. I go back to working on the budget and I realize things are not as bad as they look. I can move some money around to do the party and then replace it once I sell the rogues. I will only get four girls from Mr. Smalls, then in addition to the rogues we have we will have a good shipment to replace the money spent. I am happy things are working out

“Tina strip” I say locking the door

She automatically starts to cry. I don’t care because I’m still going to get what I want. But I don’t understand why she is always crying. I treat her okay, I haven’t thought about selling her yet. She sleeps in my closet, and I feed her at least daily. The other girls just got f****d, then sold or killed. She should be grateful. Well, I’m having a good day. My budget looks good, I have enough money to make more money, my sons should find a mate at the party and Full Moon is coming to his birthday party. She puts on her clothes and goes straight to my room. She knows to clean up and go to the closet, where she stays until I call for her again.
