Brielle's POV
We walked to my apartment building weakly. Thraia and I both had puffy eyes from crying too much.
It was already late at night and we bought takeouts for dinner. We didn't talk much because we were both physically and emotionally tired.
From the distance, I saw a man all covered up in front of our apartment building. I instinctively held Aia and kept her close.
Aia held on to me as well.
We were both ready to protect each other if anything happens.
We almost reached the entrance and the man turned to look at us. I was about to drag Aia and run inside but then...
"Brielle!" I lookes at the man closely and realized who it was. I held my chest in relief.
