Chapter 6: Moving Day

1726 Words
Brielle's POV *kriiing kriiing I woke up to the sound of my phone's alarm going off. It's now saturday which means moving day. Luckily, my friends are available today so they volunteered to help. I actually declined since I didn't want to bother them on their rest day but of course, they still insisted so I just agreed. I really am very thankful for them. I showered and got dressed then I blow dried my hair and tied it up in a messy bun and I did my everyday fresh makeup look. I wore a white oversized sweater, a pair of comfy black jeans, a black puffer coat paired with a black scarf and a pair of white sneakers. I brought extra clothes to change into just in case I'd need them. *knock knock I hurried to open the door to see Sophie there. I got my stuff and we went out to see Damian who was already waiting with his car. Damian waved at me as he smiled next to his car. Then, he opened the shotgun seat and passenger seat. Of course, Sophie almost pushed me inside the shotgun seat. I just let it slide. It didn't take long for us to arrive to my new apartment. We met up with the landlord and they gave me a few packs of toilet paper as a welcome gift to me. I thanked them, of course. "Ooooh this place is really nice" Sophie exclaimed when she looked around my new apartment. I smiled. I really like it as well. "I know right" I said proudly as I looked around too. It was new and I'd be the first to live here which was very ideal to me. "In my opinion, Brielle deserves a better place than this small apartment" Damian suddenly commented. Sophie simply rolled her eyes at him. "Rich kid behavior" she said which made me chuckle a bit. He just ignored her. We ended up cleaning the apartment more even though it's been cleaned yesterday already. I wanted to make sure that it was spotless before we place the furniture. Damian ended up cleaning the higher areas like the top cabinets. He wasn't used to cleaning so I really had to guide him through and he was listening well. "Good job" I acknowledged him when I saw how clean his area was. He smiled widely at the compliment and Sophie laughed at his reaction. "He's like an obedient puppy" she teased. He ignored her again and just focused on me. The furniture came just before lunch so we ended up just ordering lunch for delivery. We first moved the bed upstairs. I set it up with the beddings and pillows that I bought and immediately went down. We assembled the sofa bed using the instructions provided with it. I did the assembling as Damian handed me the parts. Sophie on the other hand was in charge of putting the kitchen tools in their respective places. Our lunch came and I made them eat first as I continued on assembling the sofa bed. After an hour or so I finished it and joined them in eating lunch. "I knew you were good at being independent but wow...you're literally the best at this" Sophie exclaimed. I chuckled. "This is why I insisted that you guys should just rest" I told them. I felt guilty having them stay here with me all the time. "We're your emotional support" Damian stated with a chuckle. I actually agree. "Yeah we both don't have anything good to do anyway so sorry about that" Sophie confessed. We all laughed. By the time we finished, we were all almost knocked out from exhaustion. We rested for half an hour before deciding to eat out for dinner. I changed into a fitted white long sleeved top and black wide leg pants along with the black puffer coat, black scarf and white sneakers that I wore earlier. I let my hair down from the bun and retouched my makeup a bit and then we all went out together. We went to a barbecue restaurant and ordered different kinds of meat. They also ordered soju but of course, I wasn't going to drink. I rarely drink. I moved my shoulders uncomfortably because it hurt since I was tired from earlier. Damian noticed and stood behind me to give me a massage. I was about to stop him since it was embarrassing but he just wasn't going to. "Just stay still for a moment. You worked yourself too much today" he told me sternly so I just let him. "Never did I imagine that I'd be able to see him massage someone specially in a public place" Sophie said amused. I blushed. I felt a little better afterwards. "Thank you" I told him shyly. He just smiled and gave me a slight pinch on the cheek. Sophie pretended to barf. "What a simp" she teased Damian. He just mocked her. "You just don't have anyone to do it for you" he attacked back. Sophie glared at him and rolled her eyes in defeat. We started eating while chatting with each other and of course, Sophie and Damian would argue in between and I would just laugh at them. After I finished, I excused myself to go to the rest room. When I got out, I bumped into someone. I held my forehead as it hit the person's chest. Still, I immediately bowed and apologized in embarrassment. "I'm so sorry" I said still bowing my head in embarrassment but the person didn't answer. I was about to look up when.... "Come on, we have to go!" someone called out from the restaurant's door. It was an awfully familiar voice. The person in front of me bowed to me in a rush and left. I looked at him as he walked away. He was wearing a beige coat, khaki pants, white filas and a brown scarf. I tilted my head. He seems familiar. Like really familiar. "Brielle" I almost jumped in surprise when Damian approached me. I looked at him with a questioning look. "Are you okay? You were gone for a while so I had to check up on you" he asked sounding worried. Did I take that long in the restroom? "I'm good. Let's go back" I just said anf dragged him back to our table. I looked back to the person I bumped into but he was already gone. Sophie was waiting for us at the table with the soju bottle in front of her and one shot glass full. I sat in my seat and she immediately put the shot glass in front of me. I looked at her confused. "You know I don't drink" I told her and pushed the alcohol away. She pushed it back to me. "Just one shot in celebration of your move" she told me. I sighed and took it in one gulp. I immediately drank juice with the bitter taste. "Congratulations!" she squealed happily. I can tell that she was tipsy. I looked at Damian and he just shrugged. Luckily, he was still sober. Sophie and Damian ended up coming with me at the airbnb I stayed in since Sophie got drunk and I was worried that Damian would get into an accident if he drove. I drove the car to my accommodation and I called Damian's dad to get him fetched. "Hello, son?" Damian's father answered. "Good evening, sir. This is Brielle, I'm Damian's friend" I greeted. "Oh yes, of course. Is my son with you?" "Yes, sir he is and he's supposed to be on his way home but he and our other friend, Sophie had a drink and I was too worried to let him drive on his own" I told him. "Is that so? I'll have the driver fetch him immediately" "That would be great. Thank you, sir" I said. "I should be the one thanking you for taking good care of my son" "It's nothing, sir. He's a close friend after all" I replica. "Still, thank you" "You're welcome, sir" I said with a small smile. Then the call ended. "You do realize that I'm completely sober, right?" Damian complained. I ignored him. "I can drive if I wanted to except if I do, you won't talk to me for a week if I di" he whined. "Exactly so you better listen to me and wait patiently" I said as we arrived our destination. We first escorted Sophie in and she immediately flopped down on my bed. "Should I just stay here too then?" he said with a grin. I flicked his forehead and he immediately reacted in pain. "No" I said as he pouted and frowned. I chuckled at his reaction. He was acting cute. "You're going home whether you like it or not" I told him. He sighed and just nodded. He looked at me for a moment and then pulled me for a hug. I was taken aback so I didn't react or hug back immediately. "You're the only person who can say no to me but I'd still accept it. The only one" he said. I chuckled. That's true. "You're cool and independent. You can do anything and everything effortlessly. You're amazing. You're literally every man's dream. You're my dream girl, you know that?" he confessed. I sighed. I didn't know what to say that wouldn't invalidate his feelings. "I'm sorry" was all I could say and his hug tightened. I hugged him back which made him soften. *knock knock "That's your ride" I told him and pulled away from the hug. He sighed and nodded. We waved goodbye and he left. I washed up before bed, texted my mom and bestfriend like my usual routine and just before I was going to sleep, another twitter notification popped up. I smiled again. Bullet_official: :D It was a group photo of Bullet in what seems like a barbecue restaurant. I liked it and replied: ':'D' I zoomed in on every member and admired each and every one of them but when I was about to admire Theo, I gasped. He was wearing a beige coat, khaki pants and a brown scarf. I covered my mouth to stifle a scream. Wait. Earlier was that....WAAAAAAH! Omg. Was it really Theodore King?
