CHAPTER 11
GRACED IN SIN
GRACIAS’S POV
……..
I watched him from the door. His hand tugging on his tie as he spoke.
He looked dangerously refined.
Watching his sturdy back. ‘Why does such a beautiful guy leave like this?’
I chuckled remembering his earlier words, ‘You are my fiancee’
Gosh, heee! I almost vomited. Only someone mad would believe his nonsense.
But what could I say or do?
I knew he was in danger but me being in danger because of him? Was highly doubtful but come to think of it, it was most likely.
I have been under gun many times after meeting him. Strange people and unusual moments in my house.
But why wouldn't he go?
I heaved a heavy sign. Whatever, as long as he would protect me.
I was already entangled with him. What will happen to me if he suddenly disappears?
I couldn't think of the scenery. They might think we have a special relationship.
Slowly he picked his Jacket and headed out.
Finally he was going but he cut in. “Remember you can't live without me now” he said and headed for the door.
He looked so smug about it.
Isn't it because of him my life is put in danger?
Everything wasn't adding up, the masked man. The code? A002, my cleavage?
I couldn't stop laughing just thinking about all that stuff.
It was such a hassle, I didn't want to deal with craziness.
Why bother solving a mystery I have no information or clue of? Just based on assumption?
I was alone and alone. For the first time in two to three days.
My life was already a mess from one encounter.
Life was truly unpredictable.
I picked up the chain, no. I should throw it into the pit.
He was a crazy ass hole, what if he wants to chain me?
I grabbed the chain and moved to the backyard.
Before I exited the door, my phone lit up. Someone was calling.
Who would be calling me at this time? Getting rid of the chain was my goal. I ignored the call.
It mustn't be Jude, he didn't have my phone number.
No, maybe he has it. I didn't know and didn't bother.
I threw the chain into the pit, with a wild smile.
“Yes,” let me see how he will restrain me.
I turned to go.
A figure was standing steps away from me.
His face was dark and so was his aura.
I stepped back immediately.
“Don't fall into the pit” his cold voice rang.
I froze instantly.
“What do you want?” I stuttered, a step away from the pit.
“Take another step you will be inside the pit”
My body froze.
Cold sweat tickled my cheeks.
“Good Girl. Come here” he said, his lips curled up in a sinister smile.
“Don't misunderstand, I have no relationship with Jude” I waved my hands in the air trying to explain.
His smile got weirder. “I know. Come here” he said, stretching out his hand.
My heart palpitating. Slowly I walked away from the pit. Standing just three steps from the man.
The man who shot Jude that day.
“Gracias” he called.
It was no surprise he knew my name.
“Aren't you from MANDULA?” He asked, his face turning blank.
That wasn't a statement, it was a threat.
I hurried over. Tears tickling my eyes.
“What do you want?” I asked.
He signaled the guys to get me.
“He is taking too long. I just want to help him bring you over” he said, as if he was doing me a favor.
“Where?” I asked, my voice quivering.
“To meet the person you are thinking about?” he said.
My mother?
What was I caught in? “I didn't save Jude out of Goodwill, he forced me to save him” I said looking at him with tearing eyes.
He chuckled, “That's good. You are not a good person” he said smiling.
Wait, how did he interpret what I said?
The two men he came with grabbed my hand.
The man moved over. His face dark, the mask covering his face.
He looked like someone I have met before. His aura, the air around him was similar to someone I know.
He blindfolded me. Then he whispered.
“Don't be scared. You are born for this”
Born for what? My heart beat quickened.
I couldn't stay still anymore. “What was I born for?” I yelled.
They dragged me out. Then kpam, I felt a sharp pain on my neck.
Slowly I lost consciousness.
