CHAPTER 12. BLOODED ENTANGLEMENT JUDE'S POV ……. I drove into the garage. It was like a fist. This time, he wasn't backing me. “Why did you sent after her?” I asked calmly. “Blame yourself for getting caught up,” he said, rubbing his knees. “I wouldn't have if you had brought her” “No need for the conversation” I said. “Drop the bomb and let them all perish” I signaled my guard. “DJ!” He yelled. “Are you rebelling?” I scoffed. Me rebelling? It would be great if I was rebelling, “I said I would bring her over but you are just too impatient” I said, triggering the gun. Then he made a sign. Someone was standing behind me. There was movement. I dodged. Then came a sharp pain in my hand. I stared down at my hand, it was blood. “Really?” I asked. “You got the notes of DEAD OF DEEDS. Yet you don't want to act” he said. Flipping through the papers. “This old hag” Swiftly, grabbed the man who had attempted to stab me. I threw him to the floor. Staring at his face. A soft chuckle escaped my lips. “You already made one out for your use?” I asked. His smugness. “You use the system as your own” he titled his necktie. “That's why it exists,” she said, laughing. “Don't dream of it” I sent the bullet into his chest. Then I will use the chips they want to destroy them. I got a message. It was Gracias leaving the house. “f**k” I cursed and ran to my car. It had already left. She didn't take her calls. She was already captured. My knuckles on the starry wheel turned red. “He dares?” In an instant, I was at the foreseeable gate. The door kicked open with my boot. Gun in my right hand. Blood dripping from the other. My eyes darted around the room, and there she was. Tied to a chair. Her face wet, her red eyes swollen. Her eyes were still stinging with tears. "Gracias" I called. Then came a burst of laughter. "I brought her here..." "Shut up" I yelled, cutting him off. He stood three steps away, his hands in his pockets. He thought it was a meeting. As if he was worthy. I let him run wild. He smiled seeing my blank face. "What gave you the audacity to take her away without my consent?" My voice came low. The masked man laughed. It grated on my skin. I raised the gun. He scoffed. He didn't move. He didn't flinch. He just stood there laughing. "Chief...chief...chief" I called. I pulled the trigger. The sound was sharp. He collapsed to the floor. Blood gushing from his blasted forehead. Gracias gasped. Her whole body jerked in the chair. She trembled like she was the one shot. Her eyes went wide in shock, horror filled them. She would do and see more of it in the feature. The guards behind him moved. Hands reaching for their weapons. They were still new to the job. My men were already in the room, bullets flew past another and the room was filled with gun fires. I knelt in front of her. My face is cold, my hand precise. I cut the rope with my knife, careful enough not to cut her skin. She stared at me like I was the monster in the room. Maybe I was, I wouldn't let her be it. "I am the danger. Aren't they?" Her voice finally broke down. I froze. The knife stopped. I pulled her arms free. The rope fell to the floor. "Why didn't you answer the call?" I asked. My voice is cold. She didn't answer. Tears ran down her cheeks. Her sobs getting louder. "Who am I in all this?" She yelled out. No fear in her voice. I could see the anger and despair in her tone. For the first time since I found her, she wasn't scared of me. I stared at her. Her chest rising and falling, her clenched fist trembling slightly. I wanted to reach out and wipe the tears. I didn't. I stood up, put the gun back into my holster. I scooped her in my arms. "You don't need to know all that stuff," I paused. She wasn't making any movements. "You just have to remember that you are mine," I said quietly. I hoped she would calm down. We matched on the pole of blood and walked to the gate. She just rested her head on my chest. She looked tired. I walked out of the building, the whole yard caught fire and burned down. It would never be used for anything again. They have crossed a line. I hauled her into the car and we drove home. Quietly she walked to the room. The door slammed the moment she was inside. A heavy sound came from her room. I ran inside. My breath caught. "Gracias" I yelled. She was laying flat on the floor Thinking about it I chuckled subconsciously. It was hilarious. “Nothing” I said. Taking her hands into mine. “Let's go to the Library the class has be cancelled” I took a deep sigh and followed her. To our usual spot. We sat there smiling at each other. “Who was that guy yesterday?” She asked. Her eyes are tasty for some gossip. I didn't want to fill it, it would sound absurd. “Someone from MANDULA” I lied. It was best to keep her in the dark until I knew what was actually going on. “He looked so handsome,” she said, frowning. “Wait, you guys looked more like couples,” she said with a smile. I shoved her hands away. I retorted, “Don't let too much romance destroy your thinking” I said shooting her a deadly glad. “Alright” she said smiling. “Give me his phone number,” she said. Grinning. “He is a thug” I pouted my lips suppressing my thoughts that were already running wild, “If he isn't a mafia gang” I whispered underneath my breath. “A bad guy?” She said, smiling. “Shut up, let's go to the gym,” I said, grabbing her hands. Looking far from the end. A familiar figure stood in the crowd. “What is she doing here?” I ran outside. The moving crowds had covered her. I checked my phone to know if she had called me, but no missed calls. My heart beat quickened. She is supposed to be in MANDULA, Why is she here in Meche? I frantically searched the crowd for her Then someone tapped me from behind. “GG” I turned. It was Jude, someone standing beside him.
