As we made our way down the stairs and into the living room, more strength slowly started to return to my mind and body, and I was grateful.
If there was one thing I hated more than anything, it was feeling weak or useless.
“So what did you find in Italy? Was Aurelio there?” Dad started out as we all took a seat. It was the middle of the night, but war didn’t wait on sleep and we had all been desperate for answers by this point.
“Yes, Aurelio was there in the libraries. We called right before our flight left off from DFW so he knew we were coming, but thanks to Dominico, he already knew what we were searching for and had various Tomes and Scripts waiting for us,” Kai replied as he settled in on the couch next to Maven.
