Nameria
As the representative of the pair, Nameria sat beside her teacher waiting for the ceremony to begin. Thirteen of the disciples sat on the ground, twelve of them were in a circle knee to knee while the final lay in the center. What they were about to perform was a very fragile game of energy which would send the young woman’s mind halfway across the continent. Although only the future seers like Nameria knew why, the others followed their strange notion to nudge one girl in an Attanyan city to find a certain man. For the child, it would feel like she came up with the idea but the few of us here would know otherwise. This was the second step to leading the girl-decedent into walking down the path that was laid before her.
“Begin charge on five, direct the flow toward Taunia. I will be the tether, Nameria keep in touch with the time and tell us immediately of any change.” The elderly woman that sat at the north point of the circle, when each of team were focused on her she began the count down. “One, two, three, four, five.”
The thin, wiry body of Taunia tightened with the increase of energy flooding into her. Her dark brown eyebrows scrunched in focus as she tenderly accepted what the elder woman directed to her. It was a fraction of the energy going to the elder yes she was overflowing with it, although the lady couldn’t be more than a tunnel for the energy to dwell and travel through she was vital to a circle.
When Taunia settled into the energy, she waited until she was stable before tossing her mind into the mist. Nameria closed her eyes, while opening her mind she could watch was Taunia was doing and see the changes that occur because of her actions. The short girl stood in her long gown, her spirit gown that represented her energy, and wade through the balls of light that were the life force of every living thing on this planet.
Many orbs floated about her, though she was looking for one that wasn’t so much an orb but a two coy fish swimming about each other. Only those can travel across planets have a soul like that. This took much of their time, although it wouldn’t matter how long it took to find her it was how much defense the girl had against them. It was near a candle mark before Taunia found her, although her orb was far different than any of them could have guessed. She had been closely monitored as soon as she hit puberty and linked minds with Nameria’s brother but her mind had been shield by something.
Now they see it and it is like dozens of fish swim around each other, each having their own light and color. It made no sense to any of them, they sat there staring at the glowing system for a few moments, mesmerized by the unfamiliar sight. :I’m unsure that anything we do will in any way prompt her to do anything we suggest.: Taunia was the first to speak, her tone confused. :She may already subconsciously know that she needs to get the girl, with this many threads it’s not only possible but highly probable that somewhere in her she knows what she needs to do for years to come.:
Then was the discussion of what to do now, it was no wonder that the girls mind had been shielded from them for so long. After coming to the same conclusion, they quickly put the suggestion in her mind anyway and closed every door they had opened in their minds until they at last sat in the stone room again. Everyone waited for Nameria. Reaching further out in her mind she was sucked into the Mist, this was the last place she thought she would end up.
Before she knew it Nameria was sitting cross legged in front of the Lady light. She was breathless, never had she been with the Lady or been allowed this far into the Mist. Standing up quickly, she bowed. “Lady.”
Nameria looked up into the deep brown eyes of the Lady; she stood with her hands behind her back and her long thick braid trailing down the front of her silken dress. “Are you surprised that I allow you here young one?”
“Yes, Lady.” Nameria gulped pass the lump in her throat.
Chuckling, the Lady tilted her head to the side while staring at her through lidded eyes. “I suppose I should go straight to the point then. Little Nameria, tell the coven to stop trying to send things to my child’s mind. As you have all finally realized, I hid her from you while her powers were dormant but then they began to grow and I could not keep her mind from reaching out.” Sighing, the Lady stepped forward and held out her hand while indicating that Nameria holds out hers. She linked their elbow and pulled the girl into a walk. “I brought you to me for more than that though. You do not need to be complacent, if you wish to be involved then there is much you can do. While your Brothers and Sisters are reaching for the King, as they must, you may follow them and go to the Master. You will find him rather easy, moreover he will be waiting for you, if you wish to go. But, and I must make this explicitly clear, no one is to communicate with my child unless the Master permits it. This is his game, you must follow his rules.”
At this point they are standing in front of the only soul that is so mesmerizing. Nameria is slightly frustrated but understanding the Lady’s demands. “Lady, there is something I don’t understand.”
“What is it child?”
“You have never reached out so clearly before, the Gods and Goddess permit the souls of each sphere to do as they please. That was the purpose of our birth, why now and why her?”
The Lady turned to her, laughing gently. “They souls of this time are the most complex and important than of any time before or in the future. We immortals live as parts of all of you; We make no decision and only give insight to those asking or willing to make a change. This is the one time in your history that such change is even possible, and even bettering the lives of more than you could possibly imagine.” The Lady reached up and pinched Nameria’s nose, snapping her from the trance she was in. “When you meet her you’ll understand that some things are uncontrollable and better that way. It’s time to go now; you have some work to do.”
Nameria did not get the chance to ask anything else before she was slammed back into her body. The others waited expectantly while hoping that they had somehow changed the future. Sighing, she recounted what she saw confirming that it was indeed odd that the Lady interfered so juristically. They sat in silence for a long time, not sure of how to process this new information.
While resting Nameria was surprised with a vision showing her that the child would indeed go with the descendant, thought I was clear that it was the girls decision and not their influence. “The child seer will go with the descendant, so perhaps it is time to do as suggested.” Nameria stood, shaking off of the weariness of travel. “I’m going with the few going to the King and I’m going to find the Master.”
