Third Person POV
Reiley walks down the stairs from Kate’s bedroom and followed the aroma smell to where it led him. He found his mother-in-law cooking and humming to some song Reiley couldn’t point out. He noticed that Karen didn’t notice his presence so he cleared his throat.
“Ohhh My…you scared me, son.” His mother-in-law held her hand in front of her chest and smiled at him as soon as she settled.
“Sorry, mom…do you need any help?”
Karen stared at his son-in-law for a moment like she was reading him then she nodded.
“Alright…you can help by setting up the table.” Karen walked to the dining room with Reiley behind her and showed him where everything was.
