‘VENGEROV, 1901, Key West Luxury Villas’. ‘A young girl held a champagne flute in one delicate hand while the other hand was being interlock in an old man’s hand. She whispered something to his ear and she stood up. She nodded her head to a few people as she passed by them and said a couple of polite words while keeping her perfectly-innocent smile like a sixteen girl should act in place, while walking towards to her next target in a certain bar at West Germany. The pub was full of customers, Atasha wore a flirtatious smile that revealed her deep green eyes. Her nose was delicate, her chin a little too pointed. Her skin was flawless and her mission was – trying to distract him. The man who was silently drinking his wine at the far- right corner of the bar. She doesn’t know his name yet, but he was her mission! Catching her gaze on him, ‘Don’t you have admirers to entertain?’ he asked, his voice was a rough growl, one that was a direct contrast to the softness of Atasha’s young-innocent face. She laughed lightly. ‘I thought you want me to entertain you? Or maybe I thought I believed that I was entertaining an admirer?’ ‘Do you think, I was an admirer?’ Maksim snap out deliberately. ‘No? But the way you stare at me, made me think I did have an admirer in you’ ‘Hah!’ Maksim cough and put down his glass. There was something in her voice that his body stiffened and there was an arousal that knifed through him. But her gazed turned sharpened as her voice turned sturdy. ‘Why have you been following me? Who sent you?!’ Her young body, her innocent look, her soft voice, her scent – light, sweet, seemed to fill in the hollow space in Maksim’s heart. ‘I’m sorry Miss, But I think you have me confused with someone else.’ Atasha stepped forward, her arms came up, as if she were hugging him. Her body was warm against her and their mouths were close. Tempting close. Her mouth slipped toward his right ear, and whispered, ‘Stop tailing me before you will ruin everything!’ ———————————————————————- Atasha woke up. Her heart stuttered when the alarm clock rang across of her room. Her eyes still blurry. She wiped her sweaty palms on her blanket. ‘What was that? Am I dreaming?’ She reached out for the alarm clock as she released a sighed and she wanted to calm and to stop freaking out for she knew that was no way anyone could trace her to this villa from the hotel room. She had wiped down all her prints and had taken Stavos’ phone just in case he’d had any more information about her, or pictures or any whereabouts that might led to her. ‘Why did you have to go there alone and get into this trouble?!’ A deep captivating yet comforting voice echoed in her room. ‘You made such a fool out of us all, are you happy now?! Atasha’s throat dry, her palms damp. ‘Why am I feeling this way?’ she was suddenly overwhelmed at the presence of this man she had no memory of. But wait! This was the man in her dreams! What was going on? ‘Why are you looking at me like that? How dare you!’ The man barked at her faced, and in a second the man held her chin up. ‘Who are you?’ Another bout of doubts and anxiety she felt in an instant. Instantly she strikes at the man’s arm and twisted as she swung it. But the man grab her legs and pulled her down and pinned her in the bed. ‘Hey! Are you out of your mind? Let go’ But the man just stared angrily, confused but at the same time, lovingly gazed at her eyes, down to her lips. Flattered and worried at the same time, Atasha groaned, then, assured she wasn’t dreaming. The man was staring at her very close to her face. She was intoxicated with his scent. For a brief moment she was mesmerize with his viking-gold hair, a bristly-eyebrows, defined cheekbones, sea rover-blue eyes and his earthly scent swirled around her. ‘What am I thinking?’ Atasha mentally scolded herself. ‘Am I really out of my mind, too?’ ‘What’s wrong with me?’ Before things might get steamy, she then suddenly blurted out; ‘Who am I?’ ‘Who are you, Sir?’ His jaw clenched and the man released her. He held out his phone in his pocket and called somebody. ‘Stay here, I’ll be back.’ About an hour later, Maksim blinked unhappily at the woman who was sitting at the foot of his bed. She was dress in a red silk. Her waist length ombre hair was swept back in her shoulders. This was her Atasha. Far-too-attractive, far-too-tempting. Three years ago, He’d been sent down to West Germany, with the express orders to annihilate a ring of human traffickers and there she meet and rescued Atasha. He vividly remembers how her eyes glowed that day. He missed and so loved her blazing eyes that glowed with the fierce of passion of those who seek top right the old wrongs. But it wasn’t those memories that they shared that made Maksim so melancholy this early in the morning – in those turquoise eyes, there was a dull gaze that she gave it to him. For an instant he thought tension might have tightened in her delicate jaw, but then she smiled, slid off her blazer and folded it. Even at six in the morning, the cold air in his room made him felt so hot. But it wasn’t the heat that disturb him, particularly. It was the entire situation in which he found himself. She started walking toward him and he admit that his Atasha so sexy when she walked. No. Atasha was like a goddess. Period. The slit in her silky red dress parted, revealing legs that probably graced a runway someplace. ‘Focus, Maksim!’ He mentally scolded himself. ‘You have a bigger problem to fixed.’ He couldn’t let himself forget that. He had been swayed by this pretty face before and he wasn’t going to start losing his cool now. ‘Do you know me?’ Still smiling faintly, she said, ‘You know, it would probably help things considerably if you stopped looking at me as if, I was being tortured inside your brain.’ ‘I really tortured you Atasha, but with my lips.’ He wanted to blurt these words but stop in saying so. Memories that he didn’t want to relive, right here and then with her. ‘I need you to tell me anything about me…’ She asked in a husky voice that reminded him too much of dark bedrooms.
