"Where have you been?" Levi asked me when I got home.
"Out with me." Tom said on my behalf.
"With the doctor?" My mom suddenly appeared.
"Yeah. We were um, shopping for baby clothes." I thought of a random excuse.
"Shouldn't you be doing that with your husband and not with your doctor?" My mother butted in like she always does.
"Uh, I should go. I don't want to cause any misunderstandings or drama." Tom bailed.
