When the sun began to shine I opened my heavy eyes. I reached my hands up and wiped them clear of the crusty eye g**k that had accumulated over night. I felt Aspen rubbing my back, I looked up at him and he leaned down and gently kissed me. "Are you alright Rowan?" He asked, his eye filled with worry. "My dream was different last night." I told him, bringing my left hand up to play with his chest hair. "Mother was there, but it was like the day in the village never happened. She....uh." I began to cry as I remembered the worst part of the dream. "She was pregnant when she was killed. Her belly was smaller than mine, which is why I didn't notice it as a child." His right hand found my cheek and rubbed the tears away, only leaving room for more to spill. "She doesn't blame me for Vaynir.
