The meeting came together in under fifteen minutes.
Riven moved fast and quietly, the way he moved when speed mattered more than ceremony. Dex was there first, already standing when I came in, his notepad out and his face serious in the way it got when the easy warmth had been set aside for something that needed the real version of him.
