I spoke directly to the image of my parents on the screen in front of me, ignoring the Overseer and all the other people on all the other screens. I told them what had happened to me, from the moment I accidentally dropped the blue pill up until I sat down in the chair a few moments ago to speak to the entire Colony.
I told them about my dreams of Kyer. I told them about my attempts to pretend I was still taking the pill when I wasn’t actually swallowing it any longer. I told them of everything I had learned since then—not just about the pills and what happened when they weren’t taken but also things about myself, who I was and what I really wanted. About Kyer and how he felt the same way for me as I did for him. About being torn between him and Brin, and my choice in the end
