Chapter One

Crown Princess Rosephia stood out side the Royal Hall, in a yellow gown with embroidered gold waiting to be announced. “Crown Princess Rosephia, is here Royal Mother.” said the Royal Steward. The Royal Mother dressed in a gold gown embroidered in silver. The Royal Mother slightly glanced at the Royal Steward, “send the Crown Princess in.” The Royal Steward nodded and turned to the Royal Guards at the doorway to the outer courtyard. With a flicker of his hand, fingers to palm twice. The Royal Guards nodded and proceeded to open the doors.

Crown Princess Rosephia heard the doors starting to grind open. She stood regal head held high. Then a body plowed into her back making her stubble forward. Crown Princess Rosephia caught herself before slamming into the still wooden doors that haven’t opened up enough for anyone to have seen. Crown Princess Rosephia turn to find her younger sister Royal Princess Maelorian Rongying Cruic. Royal Princess was dressed in a white gown embroidered in yellow lace. “Princess Maelorian, please conduct yourself as a Royal. You should not be running in the Palace,” stated Crown Princess Rosephia as a future Royal Mother. “I’m sorry, Royal sister”, I said to Royal Sister, but before I could finish talking. “Now I am meeting Royal Mother. Why are you late. I have to get myself prepared to meet Royal Mother, now fix yourself and be quiet. Also stay five feet behind me as all must do for any Royal.” said Crown Princess Rosephia.

My eyes widened as her Royal Sister the Crown Princess Rosephia turned in time to see the last movement of the Royal Hall Doors. I palm faced my forehead and whisper “Lady Vanlenea Dralahido is always late,” “Crown Princess Rosephia, may enter now to greet Royal Mother.” Bellowed the Royal Steward.

“psst, Royal Sister,” I whispered to Royal Sister, “ wait your tiara.” Crown Princess Rosephia stood regal and held head high, and began walking into the Royal Hall. As the click of her heels hit the marble floors, I hurried behind the Crown Princess trying to get her attention. Royal Mother and the Royal Steward were glancing in shock at the Crown Princess Rosephia at her tiara.

As we reached the closest point to where anyone can stand in front of the Royal Mother, Crown Princess Rosephia stop and curtsy low. I also stop suddenly and about two feet from Crown Princess Rosephia, then backing up three steps I also curtsy. “Royal Sister, your tiara,” I whispered urgency to the Crown Princess. Crown Princess Rosephia waved her hand behind her as she waited to rise. “Crown Princess Rosephia, your state of dress, as a Royal and the future Royal Mother your appearance is of the utmost importance.” Stated the Royal Steward. Crown Princess Rosephia blinked and was momentarily confused. Then she recalled all my jabbering. Furious, she blushed, and adjusted her tiara, as she slowly raised herself up. I knew I was in trouble and back away three more steps.

The Royal Steward nodded when the Crown Princess was finished and moved back behind Royal Mother’s throne. “Crown Princess Rosephia, I hope this isn’t going to be a habit,” stated Royal Mother. “No, Royal Mother, it will not happen again, if so someone will get it.” Stated Crown Princess Rosephia and the last part I knew that it was direct towards me. “Good, now I called you here about the marriage alliance. We have five Royal marriage alliances this year and offer for a Royal Noble marriage from Aielyn, Althyr Kingdom.” Stated Royal Mother, “ I would like you to pick the three Princes and two Royal Princess’.

“Royal Mother, did you say two Royal Princess’?” asked in reverence Crown Princess Rosephia. “Yes, and one of the five marriage alliance will be your Royal Prince Consort.” Stated the Royal Mother indifferently. I couldn’t help myself and giggled slightly and Crown Princess Rosephia cleared her throat her anger mounting more. “Royal Mother, my marriage now so soon,” slightly stuttered as her face blanched a little, Crown Princess Rosephia.

“Yes, you are old enough now and it’s time. Plus all but your youngest Royal Sister Tonia Kyuki and Princes Kotaki Hihiko and Ryuke Hichi the first Royal triplets.” stated the Royal Mother. Blushing, Crown Princess Rosephia bowed her head and whispered “Yes, Royal Mother.” “Royal Steward please give Crown Princess, the list and details of all the marriage alliances. When you have finally made your choice in Royal Prince Consort and the other marriages come to me so I can approve them and we can inform your Royal Siblings,” stated the Royal Mother.

“Yes, Royal Mother.” Stated the Royal Steward. Taking the alliance paperwork from his secretary, he walked over with them and nodded to the Crown Princess and then handed them over to me. I smiled shyly at Royal Steward because my Royal sisters, Royal Princess’ Mírida Sabia and Nimhe Silda Eladrin the Royal twins were his only children with the Royal Mother.

Royal Steward Eladrin after handing the papers moved back behind the Royal Mother’s throne. He never gave nothing away of how he felt. Royal Mother flicked her finger and Royal Steward Eladrin nodded. “Crown Princess, you may go now, “ stated Royal Steward Eladrin. Crown Princess Rosephia and I bowed and slowly backed up ten steps and then turned to leave.

Once the doors resoundly shut behind them, Crown Princess Rosephia, she turn angrily on me. “YOU”, was all the Crown Princess hissed. “I’m sorry Royal Sister.”I say with my head lowered. “If I have to marry now….,” glared Crown Princess, “sooo will you!” “NO! Royal Sister, I’m not ready for marriage. I wanted to be your Royal Handmaiden and Steward.” I cried. ”After embarrassing me like that your Royal Sister and Future Royal Mother. I was disgraced today in front of Royal Mother, the Royal Steward Eladrin, and the Royal Guards. You will marry the Royal Noble marriage from Aielyn, Althyr Kingdom.” stated Crown Princess Rosephia.

Tears filled my eyes and I cried out, ” I’ll have to move to Aielyn, Althyr Kingdom.” “So…your point Royal Sister,” said the Crown Princess in her unforgiving voice. I nod and slowly went up to the Crown Princess study, leaving the Crown Princess in the courtyard. Sighing loudly and counting to ten. The Crown Princess tried to reign in her temper before she decided which princes and princess who marry who. She knew she at least had one Royal Sister down.

I starred at the Royal marriage alliance from Aielyn, Althyr Kingdom. Biting my lower lip, and then poked it with my finger. “Stupid Althyr Kingdom” cried I, “why couldn’t they wait for this marriage alliance until Royal Sister had her own Crown Princesses and Royal children.” Then I slammed my hand on the Royal document. I close my eyes and they start to water, “ ow!” The door swung open and in rushed my Royal Maid. “Royal Princess, are you alright?” she asked frantically. “Lady Vanlenea Dralahido!” I stat sharply, my eyes pointing glaringly at the Royal Maid.

“Oh,” stated Lady Vanlenea Dralahido, “how mad was Crown Princess.” “She wasn’t that mad….not untill she got in the Royal Hall. Everything went from bad to worse,” I say, “What were you doing Lady Vanlenea? This all could’ve been avoided, if you tried being on time,” I say in my most angry voice, but we both know I’m just pretending to be angry. “I was trying to catch the eye of Plundering Roberts Paine of the Royal Navy,” blushing Lady Vanlenea said, “I’m ready to have a husband. Your Grace, I know your not ready to marry yet but I am.”

“Well now I’m getting married…. to an Althyrine,” I say sadly. I flop in the Royal Sister chair and buried my head in my hands. “Royal Princess! To an Althyrine,” cried Lady Vanlenea, “the men are head of everything there! Is this retaliation for me making you late Royal Princess?”

“It’s alright Lady Vanlenea go turn down my bed and get a bath ready I’ll be up sharply.” said I say avoiding her questions. Lady Vanlenea nodded her head and slowly stalked out the Crown Princess study. After the door shuts, I sighed and glared at the offending Royal marriage document. “I might as well get this over with,” I whined to the empty room. Opening the document I looked it over before reading it in full.

Royal Mother of Caregivern, we Aielyn, Kingdom Althyr extended this Royal Marriage alliance between our two kingdoms in great anticipation of our Countrys joining Aielyn and Estin. With two fine matches from each kingdom we will surely be the envy of every Kingdom in all of Haba.

We have a Royal Noble that is a General of Noble character. He has won many wars and moved up in ranks not because he is Royal Noble but because of his skills on the battlefield and world renowned strategist. Daric Tigerpearl, Kazuki is of the Althyrine family lines. General Daric Tigerpearl, Kazuki will be our ambassador living on our borders. The Royal couple will be required to attend some of our social gatherings on both sides.

We hope this Royal marriage will unite us as two kingdoms and country combined as one. It a small step forward right now. Maybe one day our Countries will be one.

“General Daric Tigerpearl… ugh sounds like a Barbarian or a Giant. Ugh Tigerpearl my poor children… Wait what am I thinking children with this brute.“ I say to myself. “I need to go to bed,” I walked out Crown Princess study and headed up the stairs to the Royal Princess’ and Royal Princes chambers. My mind though keeps turning and turning about this Marriage.

Two hours later the Crown Princess entered her study followed by her Royal Maid. She looks at her desk and the stack of Royal marriage alliance’s documents. Sitting down in her chair she rubs her temples. Then she notices the open letter from The Emperor of Aielyn. “ this must be why Royal sister Maelorian didn’t come to dinner, “ stated the Crown Princess Rosephia. A little frustration rising after finally getting her temper in check.

She reads the letter nods… then she glances at the other marriage alliance documents. “Might as well get this over with”, she huffs out begrudgingly. After reading each over till she memorized them by heart she thought of her Royal Siblings. Who would sever well in making each marriage alliance to the most.

Crown Princess Rosephia stood once again outside of the Royal Hall waiting for the doors to open and she be called inside. Today I was on time standing behind her with the royal documents. Crown Princess in a beautiful rose gold gown plain but beautiful and I in a silver and blue gown. The doors open and when finally all the way open and Royal Steward Eladrin called out to Crown Princess to enter.

Both Princess entered gracefully until the reach the mark where they would stand in front of their Royal Mother. Both Princess bowed to their Royal Mother and waited. Flicking her finger, the Royal Steward nodded and face the Princess’. “You may rise,” stated the Royal Steward as he quickly moved back behind the throne.

The Princess’ raised and looked to the Royal Mother. “Crown Princess Rosephia have you completed the task given you on the Royal Marriage Alliances” asked the Royal Mother as she began sipping some tea from a cup. “ yes, Royal Mother, I have.” “Good,”she stated and nodded to the Royal Steward and a servant standing by. Royal Steward moved towards me and a servant moved towards the throne. Bowing the servant reached out their hands towards the Royal Mother, Royal Mother placed the tea cup in the servant waiting hands and then waited for the Royal Steward. The servant took the tea cup, and walked back to a small table placing the tea cup next to delicate tea pot on a gold tray, then he went back to his position next a small table.

The Royal Steward extended his hands toward me and I put the marriage alliance in Royal Steward Eladrin hands. My anxiety growing by the minutes. Soon I will be arranged to wed an Althyrine Barbarian, the races all lived there and mixed with each other. It terrifies me. I and Crown Princess are a half elf half human. Most of her siblings were half human very few in the kingdom were all human. It wasn’t the races I knew and grew up around that terrified me, it was the ones I never met and heard terrible things about that had me quaking in fear. Like the Barbarias, the Drainis, the Orcs, the Dragons, the Genasi and the Demons

I tried to settle my thoughts as I listened to my Royal Sister and Royal Mother. “The Arendinens, Carda Kingdom the Princess Kojii Ceidil Mikorisa,” stated the Royal Steward “As far as Princess Mikorisa, I was thinking Royal Prince Jirin Clarkerson Lockwood,” stated Crown Princess Rosephia. “Humm I do think Princess Mikorisa and Royal Prince Jirin are a well suited match. It shall be, Royal Steward send a message to King Kojii of Carda Kingdom we shall be sending Royal Prince Jirin to them within a fortnight. He can start making wedding preparations.” said Royal Mother.

Royal Steward nodded and said, “ yes, your Royal Mother. “ Royal Mother nodded and waved her hand for them to continue. “Yes, Whispering Riversong Forest, Genosha Kingdom, High Lord Elkorn,” stated Royal Steward. “Yes…,” said Crown Princess Rosephia, gulping before continuing. “ Royal Mother, I have decided to choose High Lord Elkorn as my Royal Prince Consort…” “why,” stated Royal Mother. “ High Lord Elkorn is a perfect choice. He will understand the importance of our relationships and our own Kingdom.” stated logically Crown Princess Rosephia.

Royal Mother nodded slowly and then said, “As one to inherit the throne should choose in a Royal Prince Consort. Well done. Royal Steward send a letter to Queen Issra Harevan of Genosha Kingdom. We shall prepare a Royal Marriage in two months.” Stated the Royal Mother. Then she waved her hand stating that the discussion of Crown Princess marriage was over and for them to continue.

“Yes, Royal Mother,” both Royal Steward and Crown Princess Rosephia replied. “ Foundeven, Ofirnia Kingdom, Crown Princess Dinadnael Jhessail,” stated Royal Steward looking at Crown Princess Rosephia. “Royal Prince Hoshishi Tazuhiro Teno-kami. Crown Princess Jhessail and Royal Prince Teno-Kami, would be well suited and Royal brother has studied all the races and study every country cultures.” smiled Crown Princess

Royal Mother put a finger on her bottom lip. “yes, you are right they will be well suited. Contact King Dinadnael Zouzel Rylan and gather bridal gifts to send to Ofirnia Kingdom. They can start preparing the wedding.” said the Royal Mother. “Yes, your Majesty,” said Royal Steward and called a servant over and made the appropriate arrangements before beginning to move on to the next Royal marriage alliance.

After about fifteen minutes, “Royal Mother, the gifts and letter is sent.” stated Royal Steward. Royal Mother nodded her approval and waved her hand. Royal Steward proceeded to say, “Malyr, Miria Kingdom, Noble Dartley Xarkisas the royal magic user of Miria Kingdom.” “Yes,” said Crown Princess Rosephia, “I thought about Noble Xarkisas a lot and who would suit him.” Slightly glancing at Royal Steward Eladrin. “Noble Xarkisas and Royal Princess Nimhe Silda Eladrin.” I and Crown Princess Rosephia glanced at Royal Steward but he remained unchanged.

“I see why you choose Royal Princess Nimhe.” stated Royal Mother and she turned to Royal Steward. “I shall have the proper letter sent in a week and make preparations for a wedding Royal Mother,” stated Royal Steward without looking up. “Royal Steward Maricus Eladrin have the wedding set for six months,” that was all she said and in her own way showing concern for her former concubine and father of her twin Princess’. Royal Steward nodded then moved on to the next marriage.

“Deepannion, Rivis Kingdom, Princess Kealanika Sapphirena Anoana.” stated Royal Steward. “Royal Prince Pilani Relles Haukeawe. Royal Brother Relles and Princess Sapphirena is well matched.” replied Crown Princess. Royal Mother nodded her approval, “ Send the letter to King Roberts Bluers Dubois of the Rivis Kingdom and the bridal gifts. They can set the wedding for within a year.” Royal Steward nodded making slight note on a paper next to the marriage alliances documents.

Royal Mother flicked her hand to continue on. Royal Steward cleared his throat and began talking, “Lastly the marriage alliance with the Emperor of Aielyn, Althyr Kingdom. Ambassador Daric Tigerpearl, Kazuki” Crown Princess Rosephia smiled and said, “ as for Ambassador General Daric Tigerpearl, Kazuki. I have chosen Royal Sister, Royal Princess Maelorian Ruilan Crui.” All Royal Mother did was blink her eyes at the Crown Princess. Royal Steward looked directly at me but I tried not faulted under his gaze. As the silents wore on I started to have hope.

“Maybe Royal Mother will have another Royal Sister in mind for the ambassador.” I hopefully thought. Soon I learned that wasn’t the case. “Crown Princess Rosephia why do you think Royal Sister is a good match for the Ambassador?” question Royal Mother “Ambassador General Daric Tigerpearl, Kazuki will only be knowledgeable about battles and nothing to run his household. Royal Sister has very little magic skills and no knowledge of his kingdom or their culture. It shall be a learning and growing experience for them both, Royal Mother.” Royal Sister stated so sincerely. Royal Mother smiled and nodded her head “ Yes, Royal Steward send a letter to The Emperor of Aielyn, Althyr Kingdom. We shall plan for a wedding this week.”

Royal Steward dismissed us and once the doors closed I dismissed all my royal etiquette. Tears began rolling down my cheeks and I ran from the Royal Courtyard.
