"I tried, but he just brushed me off," Sunny gave a light-hearted laugh. "That's why I'm asking you. You seem to know Dr. Hargrave well. Could you ask him for me, or at least find out what he thinks of me?"
She placed a hand over her heart, feeling its rhythm, and said, "If there's really no chance, I'd rather give up early. I live by the motto 'no regrets,' so when I meet someone I like, I want to give it a shot."
Sunny looked up at Oriana. "You'll help me, won't you?"
Oriana found it hard to refuse and could only nod. "If I get the chance, I'll ask for you."
"Great, I knew you'd help me," Sunny squeezed Oriana's hand with gratitude.
